A couple of assassination observations.

  • I noticed Marines stop shredding fools as soon as the assassination starts. I hadn’t noticed before. - Do you prefer that I let you get assassinated or that I unintentionally “steal” your assassination? I have been trying to be conscious about not stealing others assassinations, and as a consequence, I have let my team members get assassinated because I could not tell who was assassinating who.

well it can take awhile but it is nice of you to not steal.

Marines don’t steal your kills at all. If you shoot a guy, die, and the Marine gets the last shot, the kill still goes to you.

Still, it’s neat that they stop shooting when you’re doing an assassination! I suppose they have good manners.

It’s extremely difficult to tell who is assassinating who. Unless I can tell 100% it’s my teammate getting it I’m going to shoot, idgaf. I consciously try not to steal them, but it happens. Then you get the inevitable 17 year old calling you “kid” and detailing his carnal exploits with your mother. Which is all kind of hilarious to me, so I don’t care either way.

The game code counts an assassination in progress as an already dead player. Marines have been shooting at the victim at times (atleast what I’ve seen), but as you would’ve seen, marines don’t really shoot already dead players as much.

They took it out to be more team oriented. They didn’t want people Yoinking each others kills.

Actually I see marines shoot already dead spartans all the time lol.

my face when AI don’t steal ur assassinations but your team and their nans will go sweaty try hard to make sure you won’t get the assassination kill.

No offense meant but in online multiplayer if you make the choice to use the assassination animations, your clearly a weak link to my team and I will happily prove to you how foolish it is to use said animation by stealing your kill while you do some silly super sayian moves.

lol…really? a weak player for using an assassination animation? WOW learn something new everyday from the PRO’s on the forums!!! I love doing the assassinations!!! especially when its a retribution!!!

No but seriously I am a jerk and I really really really enjoy stealing assassination kills. Esp in swat.
