Marines and their grenade throw ablity

One thing I have noticed is that marines nor grunts don’t use their grenade throw ability while in defensive structures any ideas why not?

Because you can’t use Y abilities while garrisoned as you can’t select the unit. Same way you can’t set targets for them or turrets either.

But in halo wars one the marines and grunts both used their grenade throw ability so why not in this one.

Beats me, hardly a big deal though.

Also interesting side note here,

In wars 1 flamers could use their Y ability on garrisoned enemy units even though it didn’t show up as an option… Just press Y and there they go.
