People have speculated that we may be getting a game like Halo 3: ODST teased at E3. While this would be nice, it is somewhat unlikely, but I have a more interesting idea. What if they gave us a game where we played as a marine? This should take place during the Human-Covenant War, preferably in the Halo Wars era, as those marines, in my opinion, had the best-looking armor, and also because it would allow 343 to make this as much a character study as an FPS game. I say this because it could show us the effects facing such powerful and alien enemies would have on soldiers, and, if we were just normal soldiers, not Spartans or ODST’s, it would give the game a different feel, while still staying true to Halo. It would also allow us to take part in larger scale battles, instead of just being stealthy shocktroopers or super soldiers sent on specific assignments. It would also, through cutscenes or gameplay, give us a sense of camaraderie with any squad A.I., other than just, “these are your teammates, the only way to know basically anything about them is to read the Halo books,” they wouldn’t really have to be that helpful, as the revive function would be pointless to include, and, well, they’d be marines.
Plus, it would reintroduce weapons such as the plasma rifle.
I believe this could make a very interesting game, how about you?

I thinks it a cool Idea but since your not tough as ODSTs or augmented. That means you limited health and no sheilds.

It’s a cool idea to think about. It would make the entire experience really hardcore, I mean Elites will be almost invincible.
