No! I want bleed-through!
I think it’s a big mistake to remove bleedthrough from Anniversary Classic. It’s going to screw up the balance. Not that it’s removal is a good idea in other playlists, but Classic will be impacted by this greatly. I hope you guys (343) reconsider.
Worst. Update. Ever.
All my friends and I play(ed) was Squad Slayer. We always have a team of 5, so TS wasn’t an option, and we loved that it had big-party matching, so we always faced another team. Gave us a nice challenge. Plus the 75-kill limit and NO ARMOR LOCK was a godsend.
Super slayer is just a Team Slayer copy?? WHY would you replace a very different, popular playlist with a very similar playlist? Makes no sense whatsoever. Epic, epic fail.
That being said, 5v5 objective should play better, and BTB heavies is LONG overdue. So at least there’s a glimmer of good here.
This is a huge step backwards. I do hope you reconsider this update.
-TU is finally everywhere it needs to be, then you go and remove bleedthrough.
-BTB finally gets a heavy gametype, then you use base player traits that are inconsistent with the rest of BTB.
-Squad was the only traditional TS playlist to feature developer maps exclusively, and you replace it with a redundant 4v4 TS playlist riddled with community maps.
At this point in it’s lifespan, Reach should have DLC requirements, base traits set in stone, and consistency across the board. All of this inconsistency and wishy-washy-ness leaves a really bad taste in the mouth.
I hate to say it, but if this update happens I think I’m done with Reach.
Please, please don’t let this inconsistency carry over to Halo 4.
I love how 343 says they listened to the community on these updates, yet why am I seeing only negative feedback for March Update? Oh, because it’s crap. No one likes it, and it’s obvious that 343 isn’t listening.
Hey 343, don’t listen to majority over minority. 80% of the casuals you’re catering to play this game maybe 3 hours a week. I play about 15. That’s my playtime spanning 5 casuals. Thanks for screwing us. Also, why, why, WHY would you make Objective 5v5? It has a low enough population as is, do you want us to wait even longer? Come on now. Have some common sense.

Since they added Heavies, think about the rage quiters already. with this update, they will leave that much quicker and the team with a vehicle left standing wll spawn camp the oppoising team within the first minute… BtB will go to hell(alrdy). So, they should bring back PARIDISO and remove utopie
I am glad bleed through was removed, now all these people complaining about it being taken out are probably the same ones that told us Vanilla Reach players to adapt to the stupid Title Update in the first place. Bleedthrough makes it so easy for an enemy team to spawn camp with DMRs and it makes it so that you only have to have slight sheild damage and then get meleed one time and then you’re dead, I can’t count the times i’ve been spawn killed because of bleed through, I didn’t like it in any other Halo and was so glad with it wasn’t in Reach to begin with I love the fact they are taking it out.
I just wish they would take the TU completely out of Big Team because that is the one playlist where the real Vanilla Armor Lock should still be. Armor lock is USELESS in a heavy big team map, or a regular big team map that has any sort of large vehicles. Someone throws a nade at you and you are trying to avoid a banshee or tank by using armor lock you can’t because you get knocked out of it with the combo of just those two things and you die, basically making armor lock useless.
Since I mostly play Swat, and Squad DLC the only update I am looking forward to is BTB heavies. But for real 343 you should listen to the community about updates and stuff, for example I am so tires of Bots and mods being able to be used in any game type, it pretty much is like being able to get away with vertically anything is Swat. You Aim botters know who you are. Also I think it would be great idea to oh IDK maybe do some up dating in that and Arena. Oh here’s an Idea how about BTB Swat ,Multi-team Swat, Swat FFA oh and here’s a good one how about for those of us bored as heck playing on the original maps make a DLC required search restriction or something. I love Sword base and all but dude, one can get tired of playing it over and over and over just because on person on the other team doesn’t have all or any of the new maps. So heres’s what I think should happen Swat: should have multi game types included in on it : BTB FFA Arena Swat, Mutli-team, I can go on, UPDATE AREAN PLS, and for the love of Church please make a DLC requirement search or game mode now that Squad is gone.
Can we get a vote already instead of 343i making inebriated choices based on nothing? I played Super Slayer once and I refuse to play it ever again. Now you take away the only real playlist I play and make it super slayer? lol… Basically you guys took the money the community has given you since the Publishing Switch and slapped us in the face with it and ran like hell thinking no one is going to care if you break the game… Not so much… I understand that in the “Technilogical World” change is constant. But when there is a major outcry NO DONT TOUCH THIS FIX THAT and you ignore it? That’s stupidity!
We need to have a voting system for changes like this. IDC about “Well these people play this way and vote this way so we are gonna change it to this”. That is not how change works. A majority of non community players in Halo Reach aren’t even technically old enough to purchase the game and shouldn’t be playing an M rated game. Yet, it seems like 343i is listening to their voices instead of the voices of the actual community who have actually paid the salary of the publishers every step of the way and their voice goes unheard.
7 Preorders for Halo 4 including my own preorder have been cancelled. My friend’s and I have decided to get Halo 4 through gamefly IF we even play it and not waste money on it since the developers don’t seem to listen to the people who impact them the most. I’m seriously starting to think -Yoink!- gave the game to the wrong people and its really starting to show with all the screw ups. I really feel like 343i doesn’t care about what the people actually want and instead do whatever they want to do since it technically “isn’t their game” in the first place. Next thing we know, AL will be in Swat. I’d break my Halo Reach disk but it’s a Download. /rant

Not happy with this update as it has prevented me from playing some of my favourite game modes, BTB for example I cannot play because I do not have the right maps.
They are DLC for a reason, people who don’t have it should still be able to play the game they bought.
I was playing Team Slayer instead of Squad Slayer the last few days to get ready for squad going away.
It really is noticeable how much slower a game of team slayer feels than a game of squad slayer. Team slayer players just do a lot of camping and such. There isn’t alot of map movement.
The extra player (and lack of AL) really did make the action much faster. I didn’t think it would be much of a difference but it is def very noticeable.
I don’t see why Squad had to go, but I guess I’ll have to make due.
