Maps in the arena: a suggested change

As we all know and have heard on multiple threads most of the maps in the arena are red team freindly. I’m going to propose the following change,

Sword base removed: Unless your the red team odds are you’re going to loose, unless of course your team is bad and decicded to leave the top of the map (It happens).

Uncaged Removed:I’ve hated this map since the 14th of september, 2010. It causes lengthy games due to stalemates (oh and guess which team spawns in the best place to be on the map?) Red team can control elbow and take out the blue sniper with rockets easy win.

Boardwalk Removed: Red team spawns on the higher ground and closer to the rockets giving them another easy win over the poor blue team.

Kingdom Removed: This map has awful spawns and is a terrible concept for a map. How did this get picked for arena in the first place?

Synapse Removed: You spawn in 4 different spots, 3 of which can be viewed while jet-packing. Good map, bad spawns.

Battle Canyon added: Do i even need to explain this one?

High Noon Added: Again, it was remade for a reason.

Asylum Replaced With MLG Sanctuary: READ THIS, standard asylum weapons will be added to their rightful places.

Lockout (BY: ash 55) added: probably the best lockout remake iève ever seen plays smoothly and like the original. (If you know of a better one post it)

Altitude (Ascension Remake by: XX overkill VR) added: This map is a fixed variant of pinnacle done by a frequent forum poster, plays well good fix to a great map. Blue team now spawns small tower.

MLG Warlock added: Again, with the original warlock weapon spawns.

MLG The Pit added: READ THIS, with map edited for TU settings as oppsed to MLG settings. Oh, and H3 the pit weapon spawns.

Side note, i was thinking of switching select with a narrows remake. However i really like how select is simular and plays like narrows.


REMOVE THE JETPACK (Not map related but really its season 10 this shouldve been done season 2)

KNOW OF ANY OTHER GREAT MAPS, post them.

Halo 2: Turf By: OS Enzer0 plays good and should also be consdered.

Seriously consider Turf though.

There is a test night for map submital right here, you could forge some of your suggestions and submit them yourself =) welcome to Waypoint.

Synapse is fine in my opinion, they just need to add kill barriers/add a roof. There are to many spots to exploit with jetpack.

If the Jet-pack were removed, then it would be harder to see the spawns, right? Put in there to rename the maps from MLG to say “Arena Pit” so that people will know where everything is placed.

Im just doing that now, its waste 343 never listens to arena stuff anyways. But i finshed up sanctuary

I think they are perfect if they either take out jet pack like Shanez said or remove the exploitable spots. You want some predictability in the spawn system. The spawns on Synapse work like the Pit in Halo 3. Spawns in Needler (Shotgun for Pit), Base, and Courtyard.

The only think they should change is restructuring the Sniper-Pits. The dish pieces pretty much catch grenades. If anything else, they could just throw some rocks in Courtyard to block lines of sight. The Sniper-Pit spawn is the only one I ever see issues with, and its just in its design, not the spawn system.

Favorited. As a consistant option in the Arena I definately would like to play. Unfortunately, we have to live with the maps that are there for another month. I have seen the changelist and it didn’t include some of the things I was hoping for. Arena 4v4 is one of the them.
