Maps from previous Halo titles

While I can’t wait to see the brand new maps made for Halo 4, I would also like to be able play on maps from past titles. Maybe as DLC?
Anyway, just name some maps from other Halo games that you would like to see in Halo 4 as possible DLC?

I know I would love to see Terminal, Turf, Blood Gulch, Guardian, Sandbox, Foundry, Forge World, Chiron TL-34, Danger Canyon, and Death Island.

The problem with remakes is that a map which worked perfectly with one game’s mechanics might not necessarily work at all with another. I mean, there are a thousand million aspects that change from game to game. Movement speed and acceleration, jump height, bullet magnetism, aim-assist, hitbox size, hitscan/travel time, grenade radius, grenade fuse length, spawn system, weapon sandbox… I could go on quite happily. The effect of all this is that a playspace perfectly designed to lead to brilliant gameplay with one set of mechanics might turn as clunky and awkward to navigate, or with areas it’s too effective to spam nades in, et cetera.

Successor maps, however, hold a lot of potential.

Forge World is an awful map. So is Blood Gulch. And Chiron TL-34. Why are your suggestions so awful?

Ah, the old opinion argument. I’m not getting into that with you, but if you’d like to try to refute my initial argument, then I’d be interested in hearing it. If not, you should just continue to post worthless stuff.

Maps like Guardian, Lockout, Construct, The Pit, and Santrap all deserve remakes or successors, but half the maps you mentioned were awful in the first place.

There are plenty of maps that are worthy that I didn’t mention, but the ones I mentioned that you didn’t agree with are just maps that I happened to enjoy.
