Maps from Older Games that I would like to see Remastered for Halo Infinite

Over the years of playing, there are some maps that have become my absolute favorite maps to play on. I would love to see these maps remastered and added to the Halo Infinite roster. Chiefly among them are:

Last Resort (Halo 3)
Guardian (Halo 3)
The Pit (Halo 3)
Narrows (Halo 3)
Rat’s Nest (Halo 3)
High Ground (Halo 3)
Epitaph (Halo 3)
Vallhalla (Halo 3)
Sandtrap (Halo3)
Adrift (Halo 4)
Haven (Halo 4)
Complex (Halo 4)
Exile (Halo 4)
Solace (Halo 4)

Let me know if there are other maps that you’d love to see come back.

Edit: Someone in the comments reminded me about the Halo Reach maps. I forgot how many good ones were in that game:

Boardwalk
Boneyard
Breakpoint
Powerhouse
Reflection
Swordbase

I feel like if they remastered Guardian they’d have to expand the size of the map a little to accommodate the pace of Infinite

I’d love to see it return, grappleshottin’ across trees would be cool (★‿★)

I really liked plaza but i don’t think your H4 choices are my favorite

You definitely like eccentric maps.

I’d love to see a couple of Halo Reach maps get remastered.

  • Powerhouse

  • Boneyard

  • Forge world, yes all of it. I love that geometry.

Also I would never deny another Headlong remake. I absolutely adore that map.

Guardian
Standoff
The Pit
Haven

With the player count increased to 24 for BTB, I’d love to see some of the older large maps remastered for Infinite.

Sidewinder/Avalanche
Timberland/Ridgeline
Containment
Headlong/Breakneck
Waterworks
Terminal
Uplift
Highlands
Longbow

Guardian and Narrows are just two really fun maps. I love the open air feel to them. Would love to see them back.

Warlock/Wizard is such a fun map for 5 flag CTF. Although I wouldn’t say no to a remake of Onslaught (Foundry forged map). I think it’s some of the most fun Halo I’ve had playing that map and it could have a really nice looking remake as the old one was so plain looking.

In terms of Big Team I’d love a snowy map (provided it is nothing like Avalanche ha).

100% Valhalla and I would love to see Last Resort as well as some remastered Reach maps

I probably do. My favorite thing about Halo maps has always been their unique visual styles. A lot of FPS games have boring looking maps that are difficult to tell apart. Halo has a beautiful art style that makes me happy when they lean into it. The best maps in my opinion, are the ones that find that sweet spot between unique design and fun gameplay.

They probably would have to adjust the size, and some of the pathing.

They’ve done great remaster maps before for previous Halo games. I’m sure they could do it again.

For example: Last Resort was a remaster of Zanzibar. Halo Reach had that remaster of Blood Gulch. And Valhalla has been remastered at least twice, if you don’t already count it as a remaster of Blood Gulch, itself.

Absolutely. I remember Longbow, specifically, with much fondness.

I forgot about the Halo Reach maps. It’s been a while since I’ve played Reach. I should go back through those and edit my post to include my favorite Reach maps.

Blood Gulch, Headlong, Zanzibar, Waterworks, sidewinder, and Terminal

Rockets on Narrows is some of the most fun I’ve ever had in Halo. Closely followed by Snipers on Sandtrap.

I’m always surprised how little love Turf gets. I think it works well even with infinite gameplay.

Bloodgulch from Halo CE.

I’m pretty sure this will be a thing given how long the game will be supported for (Allegedly)

Although I would expect less remaster and more reboot when it comes to classic maps, especially given the grappleshot factor.

Yeah. I would think they would dip into old material for this game. It just makes sense, right? The work is already partially done for them.

But yeah, rebalancing for modern mechanics will be a challenge.

It’s a classic. I like the remake of it that they did in Reach.
