I feel like this should be kinda basic, but why is there no level of map voting in area matchmaking?

Cuz people got tired of playing the same stuff over and over. I’m ok with a veto system but I’m done playing guardian/ragnarok/exile/pit 50 times in a row. That’s why they removed it.
I’d rather have the veto system from Halo 3 back. It would still allow for variation while giving players an option to not play a map they hate.

This excatly why. Playing Halo 2A lockout map 13 times in row is dumb. Veto system be cool to have back.
It needs to be brought back. People complain about playing the same map again but they can make it where you can only vote for the previous map once or not at all.

It’s easy for them to not let you vote for the previous map.

Not really, lobbies reset and change game after game. New players come in and want to play ragnarok for example, I stayed in the lobby but just played that map a game ago, what do you do? You could enforce ragnarok which will then lead to someone quitting, or you could enforce a different map which can also lead to quitting cuz that guy didn’t get the map he wanted. Voting has more negatives than positives.

how about a one time veto system NOT voting. Voting leads to playing the same damn map over and over and over. I dont want to play valhalla 45 times in a row.
VETO! VETO! In the master chief collection I would always get stuck playing Halo 4 in the Cross-game playlists since people would vote for it.

The system right now is fine. I’d much rather people not vote for Slayer all the time in Team Arena or BTB. Nor do I want to see a veto system where people veto anything that isn’t Slayer in those same playlists.
In my experience it was always CTF modes that got the most love, not slayer. But yeah, veto would be nice

Maybe they can do what cod bo3 did where you can play the map twice in a row but after its grayed out where you can choose the second map or the random option thats pretty much what i would want in halo 5.
