map voting was very great in halo games but not having map voting in halo 5 is a mistake. For instance I hate the map Orion. After I played a match of it I was hoping for a new map, nope I played on Orion three matches in a row. After the third game ended I backed out and I started a new one then Orion came up again I left when the match started this could’ve been avoided with the vote option.
Kind of a moot point, with how few maps there are :^)
They made this way so that you wouldn’t be stuck playing on the same map a million times because people kept voting for it. Unfortunately I think the map rotation is broken and that still happens. Hopefully there’s a fix soon!
If they would fix the goddddam map rotation it’d be okay.
I think it’s a good idea, however I hate replaying the same map over and over and some of the less popular maps never get picked. It would turn into a similar situation as counterstrike where you play dust II over and over again.
No voting, if anything perhaps veto but otherwise it’s a good decision to leave voting out.
I liked the voting, it was a fun little part to the multiplayer, but either way I’m happy.
I strongly stand against map voting/vetoing. Both of those put the community in states where certain maps will never be played. The rotation isn’t perfect but atleast we get to play them all.
Frankly, we have so few maps as it is that I’m not sure there’s a point to voting.

Including Orion, otherwise known as the map so terrible it was removed in under two weeks.
