Map rotation in Halo 5 right now seems like a joke. I can’t even enjoy quickplay because I play the same 3 maps. Why does it seem like in quickplay I’m constantly playing coliseum, or truth, or plaza? Where’s empire, or fathom, or overgrowth?
This gamemode seems like it’s aimed toward being a training ground for new players, yet in like 20 quickplay matches I’ve only played these 3 maps? Please fix this.
That would be precisely because there’s only 3 maps in Quickplay as it is precisely intended to be a training ground for newer players. Those are all the maps that will ever be in that playlist. Jump into the Core Gameplay playlist for more maps.

Which makes no sense? Every map has a certain layout, with certain crosshair placement, with certain weapon spawn areas. These are all important, so let us play all the maps. Core gameplay is not fun because it has CTF, a gamemode I despise.
Hey, remember in Reach where we could pick the one gamemode we actually want to play? We even had choice over the maps!
The idea for the playlist was to ease the beginner into the game so they could get used to the basic mechanics on a few basic maps. Not throw everything at them all at once. They could then branch out from there into the other playlists once they felt comfortable enough with how Halo 5 operates.

But the other playlists are just as bad. In every other Halo, you can actually just play slayer or whatever - without it having to be competitive. I shouldn’t have to do comp to play slayer or swat.

I mean, part of playing the game is unlocking rewards as you go lol
Yooooo I thought I was the only one having this problem! I thought I was just getting a weird rotation, but after about 6 games I was like hold up. That’s why I play ranked slayer now.
Agree with Afro Thunda… The playlist is for new players to get used to Halo mechanics. So it has limited maps, modes and even only two player fireteam limit even though it says four. I think it serves it’s purpose well. If you want more modes and maps use core play, if you want strictly slayer play fiesta or the new community slayer or play ranked slayer or team arena. They really should give the playlist details a better description. If you don’t keep up with the community updates I can see how it’s confusing. They should also let you see the maps available in the playlist like they do MCC at least as well.
This map rotation is horrible!!! I’ve played 2 days in a row a total of 7 games played two maps!!! Garbage!!!
