Map Remakes

Is there any maps you would like to see remastered in Infinite?

Escape from ark in the next warzone iteration (if there is one)

BTB version of Lockout that extends into the rock wall next to it. Something sort of like “Operation Locker” from Battlefield 4.
Edit: I know Locker is a widely hated map, but I mean it like a linear long level, just more going on in Lockout.

Some of the ones I’d like would include:

Blood Gulch (Of course)
Battle Creek
Guardian
Valhalla

I’d like to see them make another Sandtrap. Playing the Halo 3 insider build has made me realize how much I miss that map for btb.

Since the game is giving off such strong Halo CE vibes I think it makes sense to remake some of the less-popular maps from that, especially some of the larger maps that didn’t get much play on OG Xbox or MCC multiplayer. Many of the big team maps in CE felt empty even with 8v8, despite them having great aesthetics and interesting map design.

Having said that, I think re-scaled remakes of maps like Ice Fields, Danger Canyon, Death Island, or Gephyrophobia could work very well in 8v8, 16v16, or Warzone gametype. And Inifnity would also be especially fitting (get it???).

Beyond that, my personal wish is some remakes from H4, but thats probably cause I’m a much bigger H4 fan than most Halo fans I talk to. Exile and Vortex are two of my favorite BTB maps ever, and Adrift, Skyline, and Monolith all are great fun for casual or competitive 4v4. Would love to see 343 revisit some of their earlier maps in addition to maps from the classic games.

My top 2 choices are Guardian and Sandtrap (with elephants of course)

Valhalla and Blood Gulch would be lovely, perhaps a return of Forge World as well.

Gephyrophobia

I don’t necessarily think it’s the best map in Halo CE, but it could be the best in Halo Infinite with some re-imagining and re-balancing. Think: Halo 3’s Narrows, but big enough for vehicle routes.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the majority of the maps from Halo 1,2 and 3. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Halo 4 maps, some good ones though. The Halo 5 Map design in my opinion was pretty poor and stale in design/aesthetics (personal opinion of course). If I had to pick one from Halo 1,2 and 3 I would pick Hang em High from Halo 1 but re-imagined. Lockout from H2 and Pit from H3. Of course this presuming were getting some sort of typical Halo game like we have seen before.

I’d like to see Turf come back from Halo 2. It’s long overdo for some remake treatment. And for BTB, either Ice Fields or Meltdown. Basically any 8-shaped ice map.

With the new Slipspace engine being designedwith Forge in mind, I expect the quality of Forge maps to be amazing.

I’m sure it won’t take long before there is a flood of high quality remakes.

I would like to see map designs going back to old school halo scenarios. Wizard/warlock for example was clearly balanced for up to 4 teams. Also maps designed for attacker defender gametypes like zanzibar and high ground. Something 343 has subtracted from the experience without really giving much else in return. Strongholds is an awesome gametype for example. But it still feels like it’s a sub game from territories like 5 plots. 1 flag and 1 bomb has been missing forever. Those were the highlights of halo 2 when the game went online.
