This seems extremely messed up; but, here’s two sources of proof straight from the actual Twitter @XboxSupport:
Now, to stray a bit to LE, specifically…
As someone who has purchased LE and expected to get my money’s worth, I’m let down again.
Even though this one wasn’t 343’s fault, enough has been done on their part to let us know they care more about money than satisfying their customers(speaking directly about the specializations being released so early when %99 of LE buyers didn’t even get through their first specialization.
People can be disappointed with aspects of the game and be mad about changes made, but when you charge people for something limited then make it not worth the money after the fact they handed over their cash; that’s morally wrong and no matter how good a game is that comes from a studio like 343i, there’s people who will refuse to line the pockets of those who treat their customers like that.
If 343i doesn’t do something for the LE purchasers to make of for how they’ve treated them, a huge chunk of the Halo population will refuse to pay for things coming from 343’s studio.
This isn’t an issue were people are demanding something or making an ultimatum because of something they don’t like, this is an issue where people will look at the company as morally wrong in the way they get money; this is something that will actually make people look negatively upon 343i if they have no problem conducting business like they do.
I can understand that and the glitch is on Microsoft, not 343. 343 made the map pack, Microsoft simply distributed it. But then people overeact and think they can sue Micrsoft when they have no chance of even winning.
Any LE/Map Pass owners who have gotten their -Yoink!- all knotted up because of an XBL Marketplace MISTAKE really should get back on their meds.
They are being reactionary, melodramatic, spoiled little -Yoink!-

I have no problem with them giving the Specs out, after all it was for early access only, and they were going to be given out anyway.
The Map Pass included was the biggest savings/extra money was spent for. Buying the Limited Edition gave you access to these for free, instead of having to pay $10 for each of them. Now that they are free to anyone, this access we got with the limited edition is gone too.
All that is left is the last 2 map packs and a notepad. That to me is not $40 dollars worth of “limited”.

Even so, now that 343i realizes that they miscalculated the average time in which it would take a LE buyer to get to the point to actually use the specializations, thus giving the specs out to everyone too early, they should make up for their miscalculation… offer something to the LE buyers that makes us feel like we didn’t flush money down the toilet. Even if they want to give us something, then eventually give it to everyone else, that’d be fine… I’m not selfish, but when people spend money on things like that we expect a certain amount of in-game worth or physical worth(Halo 3 replica helmet for example in Halo 3)… it’s just nearly everyone who bought LE wishes they didn’t because the only thing that was special about it has been given to the public, and really early…

My GOD 343 I is a for profit company. MONEY is all they care about. Geesh. Your feelings, customer service, doesn’t put money in their bank. Sales puts money in their bank.
343 I isn’t our buddy. It’s a company out to make money. That’s its sole objective.

He is indeed. He doesnt understand that the twitter accounts are legit and have been in usage for some time by MS for all Xbox Live support purposes. Classic case of denial.
