I’ve noticed a problem when I go to my dorm Video Game nights. I can’t play the Map Pack Maps unless I have Xbox Live. Sure I could connect to internet, but the room’s internet access can’t handle 4-6 xboxs at once and starts kicking people off xbox live at random without accessing it again for 5-10 or a modem restart.
I seem to be the only person who has this issue of not map pack offline.
I’ve googled “Halo Reach Map Packs unavailable offline” and all I get is details of the map packs, leaked maps, and “available offline” results.
I don’t know if this topic has come up since the search on here takes me to google. The FAQ doesn’t have anything related to my problem either.
I have a 200GB Xbox Slim, everything is on the hard drive.
I usually play Big Team Battle, are the maps suppose to show up there too? If so, I haven’t seen them on Match Making Big Team either.
Did you purchase the map packs from another console?
If you did, you need to transfer the licenses to your new console, which can be done here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Support/LicenseMigration/Home

Thanks, doing that now. Though something did come up. I had all the licenses assigned to my xbox as instructed, but when I looked into Active Downloads, everything came up saying Assigned to Other Console.
How did I goof up? I’ve got everything downloading now at least.

You didn’t, it’s a bit weird is all. Hopefully it’ll work out for you.
Thanks, I’ll check out if it really worked Monday. I unplugged my xbox from the network and started it and the maps came up. Now let’s see if it will work when I want it to, lol.
