So I understand the Crimson map pack is coming out on the 10th. Well I bought the limited edition and I was wondering how will I have access to the maps? When I sign in will there be an update? Or will they just automatically appear come the 10th. All information would be appreciated.

I’m wondering this as well. Seeing as there is no separate store area for LE and Map Pass owners. Will it give us a separate download link or something? Seeing as with every season pass ever, they all say DO NOT BUY INDIVIDUAL CONTENT PACKS PROVIDED WITH THIS PASS or something along these lines.
The maps will be on the ingame marketplace. There will most likely be a dialogue detailing on how to download the maps. I wouldn’t put too much thought into it, since they’re not even out yet.

Yes you will get the crimson map packs if you got the limited edition and redeemed your code
When you turn on Halo, a message will pop up on the screen in the menu saying that they have been released and season pass users can download them in the marketplace option in game
So DON’T download them off of the normal dashboard marketplace, get them from the game itself!
I assume they’re going to auto install when they’re released.
I reckon you’ll get a prompt when you launch the game, like when there’s a playlist update.

Just a thing that i would like to point out: the LE pass and the Map Pass are the same thing.

Still not understanding this, with the LE we got a few codes for digital stuff cyro avatar FUD etc but nothing for the maps? So how will the LE owners get the maps? If no code has been issued to us with the game? Cheers
Just like every other game that has a season pass. You’ll get prompted to download the maps when you boot up your Halo 4.
The codes that you redeemed will make the download free - so you buy it like normal but will be charged nothing.

Not a specific one for the maps there wasn’t? For all the other stuff yes but not the maps?

Specializations, Spartan Armor, Emblems, and Maps were all one code.

I see now thanks for clearing it up, I could have sworn that I put in more than one code for each, but thanks.
That’s not entirely true… I have the LE and redeemed all codes when it arrived, I’ve had the specializations since release. However it is making me pay for the map packs. I’m furious. 343 just lost a customer… That LE costme £70!
