I would like to know how 343i intend on dealing with the split in the community that will occur when map packs are released??
- Will there only be certain playlists that they can be played on??
- Will they be implemented into all playlists (likely after a time they should be)?
- Will it be a case where, if i have people in my party that don’t have the maps the maps will not appear and thus can’t be played, or that they will appear and if voted for people without them will be kicked from the party?
I ask these because with the already dwindling numbers, a divide in the community could have an almost detrimental affect on Matcmaking and the community as a whole.
And with christmas coming and the hope of a surge of new players to rejuvinate matchmaking having large numbers of them getting kicked from lobbies and not being able to play with friends won’t be coming back for seconds anytime soon.
Not to mention current players being locked out of playlists, getting disconnected from lobbies etc. will destroy an already premature and lacking populace.
Soon all that will be left will be the dedicated and the veterans …that have money!!! That is of course if the situation isn’t handled correctly.
Saying all this i would like to propose perhaps making the first map pack free for everyone, for many reasons besides the ones stated above.
For example, many of the more casual havent even reached level 50, and anyone that has knows that its after this level the game becomes far more addictive trying to attain all the awesome unlocks and abilities.
And also the fact that there simply isn’t enough maps present at the moment to offer real re-playability, only 5 maps for team slayer and 4 for big team is definately having a negative effect on Matchmaking.
Well after all that! Thoughts anyone??? And before any one asks i have a season pass that i got with the limited edition so i’m not looking for a handout just a quality matchmaking experience for all.
