I love how, they turn halo into more of a call of duty aspect than the normal halo that we’re used to. And now this new specialization way of leveling is here and wait, unless you have limited edition… they’re going to make a map pack before you can even UNLOCK all the specializations… WTF? this whole email idea is the DUMBEST thing i’ve heard of yet, yet… and it said between Nov 21 - Dec 1, its 11/29 and nothing yet, but oh wait… we have a map pack for you!!! Yay… cause i want to play on even more maps at lvl 70 and go no where. No. I don’t really. Progression is a major reason to keep playing any game. Halo Reach had all the way to inheritor, took forever… lots of people liked that progression. Unless they didn’t have a whole lot of time to play or were highly impatient. But 343’s “progression” was 2 weeks of playing a little bit each day with 2x XP and im sitting at lvl 70 of a possible… 130? thats it?.. chances are this map pack will come out, and because i was a fool and bought a stupid war maps pass, ill have the maps and be lvl 130 before they can even start on another map pack… the progression system is sad. The fact that we can’t even level up to the highest level, not because it takes too long, but because its locked? Seriously?.. This game is so highly disappointing… the multiplayer is fun, its a blast. Besides the killcams and instant spawns like CoD. And the poor programming with space to walls. Besides that its a blast, but i won’t be playing it much it because i can’t begin to fathom how stupid it is to send out an email to unlock these things rather than just UPDATING the game… its so hard to comprehend such a stupid idea, not to mention they took out team snipers which population sat between 10,000-25,000 at all times. Great idea… great… and there was no beam rifle in it so it was a fail anyway. And there’s no ammo on the map… have to pick that “package” like its a CoD perk. sigh… anyway none of these things will be changed or altered in anyway its just an easy way to get on here and complain about the things that are terrible in the game. And the commendation progress? lol im at 30% and its been out for 3 weeks? Whatever though. Owell. Taking it back to the store to see how much i can get for a return now. Have fun.
I didn’t read your post because I didn’t need to. The title says it all.
Do you know who is responsible for this mess? The consumers. We proved how much we craved maps back during Halo 2. Back then, it was a consumer friendly system. Don’t have the money to buy the maps? Well, if you wait 3 months we’ll give them to everyone, but if you want to exclusively play new maps, you’ll have to buy them now.
Over time, we as consumers have let this system turn into money grabs by companies. We blindly purchase this DLC without hesitation. Companies don’t receive the kickback they should for stuff like this. The best way to prove that you think this is unfair is to simply not buy the maps. They already ripped you off out of specializations, why let them rip you off of maps too?
Do you think 343 pulled these maps together in just a month? No way. These maps have been in polish mode since early Summer is my bet, but they separated them from the full version of the game as an early money grab.
The map preview was horrible and I’m already regretting buying that damn season-pass especially that now I can’t sell the game off anymore. They don’t even aknowledge any of the feedback on the forums when the game clearly has balancing issues. Them holding playlists and forge maps hostage just makes it even worse. They’re trying to starve us of maps so we cave in and buy their damn maps.
I can see it now, Team Doubles, Classic Slayer, FFA Slayer and Team Snipers as DLC exclusive playlists.
They should also scrap those damn specialization codes and unlock everything for everyone like it should have always been. -Yoink- giving people an edge just because they’ve been playing more and before the newcomers. The game’s losing players every day yet the new players will get destroyed by the veterans… funfunfun.
Damn it 343, get it together.
Wanna know what’s ironic? I HAVE the Limited Edition, am able to go past Sr 70, and I don’t even want to! Know why? Because I’m not having fun in this game!
