In Infinite I’d love to see the return of a map/gametype voting/veto system and an indication of how many players are playing in each playlist. The first I really want and the 2nd would just be handy to know you’re not searching in a dead playlist.
I think the veto feature is essential. Especially for data collection by 343. It makes it so simple for them to figure out which maps/modes are unpopular.
I really love the way Splitgate did it (if anyone hasn’t heard of Splitgate, go check it out; it’s like a low-budget Halo-esque FPS but with portals like the Portal series). In that, you get two options to vote for, plus the third option which is always “random.” It works really well cause you never have multiple voting rounds, so the quick game flow is preserved, but it still allows you to pick between a couple options or veto them all. And, because the veto is voting for random, the players who like a map that most people don’t still get to play that map sometimes, while most players don’t have to play on it as much as the maps they do like.
Map voting is pants for people who play the game a lot.
I’m not a fan of veto either. It was only good in Halo 3 because it was necessary to avoid AR starts and SWATguns. If the gametypes are all good, veto isn’t needed.
I always appreciated map voting in previous iterations of Halo, and I would definitely like to see it return.

It’s more for the map rather than the gametype although I’d use it to skip say oddball in an objective playlist when I wanna play CTF, and I’d say it better for people who play it a lot as you can get tired of playing maps you think are bad or just don’t like. It at least gives you a bit of power in choosing.
Voting, no. Veto, yes!
