Map + Gametype Multiplayer Voting

Just a super casual post, I wish that there was actually a multiplayer voting system. Remember when in Halo: Reach you could vote for the map and gametype you would play? Or even in Halo 3 with a veto system? What happened to that? How do you guys feel about this?

Oh please don’t, voting was the absolute worst. It caused such a repetition of maps and gametypes, it was a nightmare for me personally. So much slayer and Blood Gulch, oh good God I’ve spent way too much time on that map. As someone that doesn’t like slayer and map repetition, voting and veto were the pits.

I’ve always been thrilled at it’s absence and enjoy the rotational system, while also admitting it could be improved upon.

I liked Halo 3’s veto system. I call it “just enough choice.”

I confirm Because on Halo reach system voting there are the same multiplayer map all time

On the theme of super casual posts, I wish we got a £1000 every time we played the game ( just as likely as getting a voting system in Halo 5 lmao)

In Halo reach all sword base all the time. Also people always picked AR starts. In hindsight I gather this was so the needle rifles and dmrs we’re more powerful as pickups.

I think multiplayer is at least a thousand times better without voting or vetoing. I get a way better variety than ever before. Maybe they need a match composer for soical playlist like MCC has so you can pick either slayer or between objective games.

I agree with this. I hate voting on maps and modes in matchmaking, even when it was just vetoing. Too much repetition. The update removing voting from MCC is one of my favorite updates that game ever had, and the lack of voting since launch is one of the most enjoyable “quality of life” features of Halo 5 for me.

I don’t understand people who talk of repitition. I’ve experienced more repitition without map voting than with it. And for someone who spent so much time on Reach, 3, and 4 I haven’t seen repitition except in Infection on Reach.

Voting no. Vetoing yes.
