So I went to download some maps & gametypes from Waypoint…eventually it got to a stage where it wouldn’t let me download anymore. I probably downloaded maybe 10-15 in total…and they won’t stop downloading. I’m now up to 13 versions of every map and gametype and they won’t stop.
I’ve dashboarded, turned my Xbox off and on, played games etc, but after every game I play they jut keep downloading…
Anyone know why/how to stop it?
dude same crap is happening to me, if you find out how to stop it PLEASE let me know (my gt is Loraz)… im up to 1200 different maps

Oh, well, (sort of) glad it’s not just me. Halo 4 in general is being a pain in the -Yoink- today. First this, and also now it keeps telling me I haven’t got the War Games Map pass 
This was happening to me earlier today. Several of my gametypes started randomly duplicating dozens of times after I downloaded an item from the file share.
Hopefully there will be a legitimate response from 343 soon, because this is extremely annoying.

I managed to stop it by disconnecting my Xbox from the Internet, but whenever I got back on, the downloads continued…
I had the same problem, and I fixed it by logging into Waypoint on my PC, then navigating to my “Active Transfers” menu. I cleared out the entire list, then logged out of Waypoint. Loaded up my H4 and now the onslaught of download duplication insanity has stopped. Hope this helps someone.

I also just did this and it stops the infinite downloads. Just go to your profile and remove all the items from your download to xbox queue
