I just bought a sealed copy and all it contained was the disc and a manual, it didn’t contain a code for the map pack for Reach. It was a PAL copy if it helps.
what is a “PAL” version of a game??
PAL is a video broadcasting standard of Australia, it has limited to no relevance to the OP’s problem as if I were in America, and bought a game, it’s video standard would be the American’s video broadcasting standard of NTSC.
Did you preorder your copy of Halo: CEA? If not, then there’s your answer (and judging by how late you got it I think so).

Its actually the standard for a good chunk of countires not just Australia. Here’s a wikipedia link to show the countries that use it.
Hmmm, if the copy is sealed as you claim. I would recommend going back to the place you bought/got it from, and demand that the product be replaced, as it is missing the code. The map pack code should be standard for all copies of the game.
Who did you buy it from?
I live in Saudi Arabia, PAL is the standard here. I just thought that maybe PAL copies don’t have it included.
Yeah, I didn’t pre-order it, maybe that’s why?
I got it from a random game shop here. I don’t think it should matter though, since the seal was intact.
I live in Spain where PAL is the standard as well.
And received it, since EVERY LAST copy MUST have it inside the case, NTSC or PAL or MS-DOS.
You should go and ask the shop where you bought it for a reclamation.
The only difference with the pre-ordered ones are that those come with:
a code for Master Chief’s MJOLNIR Mark V armor for male Avatar,
a code for Master Chief’s MJOLNIR Mark V armor for female Avatar,
a code for the Grunt Funeral Skull.
But nothing more, as said earlier, every last copy of Halo Anniversary in the world must come with the code for the maps.
I agree with the individual above me. Sounds like a freak occurance. If I were you, take the game, with all contents and receipt back to the store. Tell them what happened and insist on a swap.
It could have been a previously displayed copy. I would bring it up with whoever you bought the game from. They have the means to open the case, remove the disk, put it on display, then after a period of time seal it up again and sell it as if it were new.
Thanks for the responses guys. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it exchanged or refunded. Oh well.
Unlucky mate. Maybe see if a friend or someone you know has the game, and and unwanted code.
I heard that since Xbox Live is not officially supported in some countries, they couldn’t include the map pack code. Only these countries are officially supported.
Which is total BS for you, I know.
I Just happen to have a extra code, That is If you still need it of course. I sent you a PM. So message me back when you have a chance.
Great to hear he is going to give you the code, I hope that can solve it.
But first see if your country/region is compatible with Xbox Live (if you can play online Halo it will be, so yes, this thing I’m asking you to confirm is a very little thing, sorry if I make you waste time >.<), because you could be unable to download it after entering the code even if it’s a valid since since your location; but even so that would make the code unavailable for a second redemption…

But I’ve gotten codes with all my other games here, which is why it was so weird. IDK, maybe this game is different.
I agree, it is complete BS if it’s true though.

Yeah I’m able to play online here and redeem codes just fine. I have a US account and you’re not wasting my time don’t worry
Okay, Sent you the code. Have fun. =)
Thanks again man, I really appreciate it.
Awww, that made my day
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Sorry for hearing that… again, this proves the option to download them into the HDD should have been written in the disc itself.
I really hope you can get the map or a code for points at reduced-price through Amazon or eBay, remember that any code from any country should work, but check the seller’s reputation firstly first.
