Most noticeably, 343i cut the EOD from Halo 4 which actually looked really nice to me. They also cut Oceanic which personally was my favorite armor design from Halo 4. With all these armor permutations, why cut these old ones? It does not make any sense to me.
Because they have to remake them. Remaking an armor takes time, they can’t just port them over, because they wouldn’t match up with current hitboxes, graphical glitches, etc… They didnt cut them out, they just haven’t seen a reason to put them in. That’s kinda weird though. They added several new armors that are much more complex and detailed, but left out old classics.

As I said, they have to make the armors from scratch. If there isn’t high demand for the old armors, then why wouldn’t they make something new? The armors that people asked for most are coming out this week. They would have to make the old ones more detailed for Halo 5, otherwise people would complain that they looked blocky and poorly done. 343 has been wanting to explore new art styles, based on the looks of Halo 4 and 5. Although I’m sure some people just want Halo 3 remastered every few years, they have decided that changing things has a broader appeal.
