Mantis survival after patch.

So on my first war zone game today I pulled out a mantis because why not? without any knowing there was a buff to the health, and I did feel like there was. So after that game I went into forge and tested out the HP of the vehicle and it takes 56 from the dmr in the front and 46 in the back. Before the patch it was around 42 in the front never did the back. So still 2 people can take one out across the map where the vehicles weapons can’t even reach them with accuracy.

So I think the only way to fix this is not give it more HP till dmrs do nothing because at that point SPLAZORS will be weak as well, but just reduce the damage of all none heavy weapons vs vehicles to the point they do very low damage so you would need to use a more heavy weapon.

BTW really like the new tank, did a sweep attack with it and got a trip kill.

Nice; I can’t wait to try it. I do think that regular weapons shouldn’t do that much damage to vehicles. It stinks when you’re in a tank or warthog and people just pepper you to death.

Glad they buffed it’s health. The thing was basically useless. They did 2 things to it that made it seem pathetic compared to the version in Halo 4. They made the the whole rocket salvo fire at once instead of a missile at a time or let us charge it and (this is for all heavy vehicles) took away the requirement of first hitting the hatch a few times before you can drop a grenade in. Yeah sure I LOVE it when I’m taking a vehicle down but, when my tank/wraith gets jumped by a camper and can instantly drop a nade in while my team mates have all of what 2 seconds to kill them. You can blast near by structures or rocks to kill boarding enemies anymore either.

Also remember when you could snip someone out of the unsc tank and take it for yourself? Now there is not even a window just a un shielded area you can see the player but can’take shoot him, all damage goes to the tank.

Those were the days, so many troll moments with a sniper rifle.

I got 7 kills in an Urban Mantis the only time I used one post update. I was still alive when the match ended too despite taking a railgun shot, a Hannibal Scorpion shot and assorted small arms fire! My Mantis average kills was 3 per use before this update. I like what I saw with regards damage sustained but it is still tough to get kills with a Mantis.
