Which spec upgrade is more useful when you’re in the mantis?

I use both. Wheelman (Operator) is a Tactical Package and Gunner (Pathfinder) is a Support Upgrade, so you can have them both at the same time.

Gunner allows you to fire the Mantis machine gun for much longer. Normally the damn thing overheats very quickly (the rockets are also not as good to balance it out for MP).

This will make a difference in Mantis battles. While their turret overheats, you can keep firing at them until they are defeated. Use your rockets and avoid theirs though.

Wheelman is important because of the resistance to EMP. If you’ve ever piloted the Metal Gea, i mean Mantis for a time, you’ll notice that you WILL get EMP’d sooner or later. You are a sitting duck and most of the time you’ll get a grenade into your cockpit for your troubles.

Now imagine instead of waiting for death, you only need a second to start the Carnage again and you reduce the chances of the enemy boarding you.

That’s why you use both for the Mantis. One of the best vehicle based mod combos because they have great synergy with each other and the Mantis.

Really cool combination.

However, I think the Wheelman armor mod needs a slight buff.
