The simple fact that you can no longer be boarded from the front (usually) makes that vehicle so much better to use and a lot more fun too. Combine that with the fixed damage on the stomp which allows you to one shot anyone around you who’s not behind you and the Mantis has gotten to be a pretty decent vehicle to use.
And if you have some extra REQ energy lying around combine that with a damage boost for double the fun. The ONI and Hannibal Mantis are so beastly now!

but if this is true the removal of the reactionary nerfing of the mantis is good news.
it took the wheelman perk to be released to make the phaeton what it should have been its good to see the mantis getting it’s proper treatment.
I’m sorry I cannot seem to find it right now. I can only find the “Anvil’s Legacy preview”. You know that list they put up with each update that contains a list of the sandbox tweaks and the millions of new things in forge? Yeah it was in that one.
It went kinda like this:
Fixed a bug that made Spartans being able to board Mantis from the front.
Fixed a bug which caused Mantis stomp to not do full damage.

I generally don’t get into a slow moving vehicle anymore. Too many times have I spawned a Scorpion or Wraith only to be immediately boarded and ripped to shreds. My go to vehicle anymore is the ghost. I can do a lot of damage in that son of a gun.

Yup, but speaking of which, anyone know if the missile charge function has any use? I tried charging it more often since I completely forgot about it before, and it seems to maybe make missiles more accurate? Not sure.
