So it turns out an easy way to kill an oni mantis is to run it over with a tank or wraith.

The mantis is , was or should be a tank class vehicle.
A Scorpion shot should only 1 hit mongoose warthog, and ghosts. (Accept oni/ultra variants)
2 hit banshee, mantis it already 2 hits wraiths.
If you cough loudly a mantis will disintegrate so this comes as no surprise.
