So the mantis is now req lol 6 that’s all fine and dandy but I think that was the last route mantis fans wanted. The mantis is supposed to be a walking mech of terror with munitions not a wasteful req that can be pulled for no other purpose than “eh I have a mantis haven’t use on of these this week” I know this vehicle has been many a topic but let’s be honest for good reason it’s a shameful shadow of its former and it’s not the only one we could have a very interesting topic on rockethogs scout hogs the useless tundra woodland variations splattered mechanics so on and so forth but what I gather these issues//concerns are of no relevance. 343I development team front desk guy test chick whoever is reading these buy the team some pizza and tell them to balance vehicle movement and power and Spartan movement and power ratios any vehicle should be feared (except a mongoose) not oh easy kill let’s hop on.
Mantis needs:
-To walk slightly faster
-Stomp impact is faster with larger radius (but slower recovery so same time) so its a CQC defense rather than…a taunt?..a gimmick?..
-Less chaingun bloom
-Slightly higher Rocket damage, radius, and velocity
-Reduction in front boarding radius
-Stronger shields

People asked them to buff the useless mantis, or at the very least lower the req…they went with the very least - yay
I agree with you both the vehicle needs work not just it’s lvl
The aligned the REQ level of the vehicle with what is currently available in game. This does not preclude them from updating the stats of the Mantis in future updates. This does bring cost in line with benefit as viewed by the community for the time being. There are other things I would suggest they focus on before they attempt to balance the Mantis back into the game at a higher damage output.

That front board radius needs to be eliminated entirely. You should only be only to board it from behind.
The chaingun needs A MAJOR BUFF!!
A lot of the vehicles appear to be more of a hold back type of thing instead of a push and run into it guns blazing type of vehicles
IF you keep space, you should be fine
