Every time I buy one of the Halo MCC Campaigns, I have to reinstall the entire game due to the bundle not taking into account I already own and have the main launcher installed. I’m unable to buy the game itself separately to prevent this and as a result, I’m always forced to download 122.0GB from Microsoft Store each time. I’ve been buying the game in instalments in place of the full game collection as I can only afford to buy one or two of the six at a time (4/6 of the collection, Reach and 4 missing).
I know you can configure the game to only install certain sections but that doesn’t work on PC as the Microsoft Store to error due to the change in content being downloaded. I also can’t buy the DLCs as standalones due to them not being sold separately (only the DLC + another copy of the launcher).
Does 343/XGS plan to work with Microsoft’s core team in order to address this issue? (366 GB of repeat installs on a 1TB Drive isn’t exactly working as planned)
