Manchester in your thoughts and prayers

This has nothing to do with Halo, but I hope it can be excused. In the Manchester Arena, during an Ariana Grande concert, it was attacked by a suicide bomber. As of now, 22 people have died and at least 200 have been injured. The victims included families, and little children. Please, pray for the injured, dead, and their heartsick friends and relatives.

There also many Halo players in the U.K. so if you know or have run into any while online, offer your support.

While this is off topic, I feel safe about posting about this in this community, as the Halo community has THE BEST forums and people I’ve seen in any gaming family.

Below are a couple links to stay safe, and help those who aren’t.

Yes I saw this on the news. Terrible thing to happen to such young people, my thoughts and prayers go out them and their families who must be devastated.

That hurts my heart and I’ll will pray for them let god bless this world we live in and thanks for sharing. :disappointed:

It’s truly heartbreaking to know that terrible events like these continue to linger.

Of course it can be excused. In times of tragedy like this, it’s important to have people to talk to about it, especially as a community. It’s definitely not the first time we’ve allowed this.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone there.

I’m always at a loss when a tragedy like this come along; It’s at these moments that words tend to fail me. I can’t express what I’m actually feeling and every time I try it seems to come out wrong; that the words are so much less than the emotion behind them. I’d almost rather no words, than the wrong ones; still my chest aches at the thoughts of the loss the families of the victims must be feeling.

I can’t truly express in words how saddened and upset I was to hear about this, but seeing the strength and love and support from everyone there is just so amazing - pushing out the more important information about what to do, where to go, how to find help and drowning out the trolls trying to spread misinformation. I have a few friends that stay close by, thankfully all ok. Was scary to see armed Police walking through George Square in Glasgow today, I don’t think I have ever seen that until today.

Even as I write this I find more incredible stories that keep my hope for humanity alive, like this one about a homeless man called Steve. Interviewed on ITV news and, as of posting, people from around the world have raised more than 25k GBP to help him find a place to live.

My heart goes out to all the families and friends who lost someone and also to each and every person who helped, even in some small way, those affected by what happened.

No Problem things like this should be talked about and respected. My Prayers go out to all those lives lost.

Thank you for posting OP.

It’s getting very sad how often in this day and age we have to keep saying “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of (BLANK)”…

The people will have our prayers. These Bombers are not human.Everyone including Muslims call them monsters. But may Manchester have peace and our prayers.

There was also a Shootout turned firefight in Marawi City Philipinnes with terrorists yesterday.Residents of the city took pictures and videos and posted them on Facebook and Twitter.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the bombing. Really appreciate the post OP. A great way for the Halo community to show some love to those who need it the most now.

Such a tragic, pointless waste of life…

This one in particular hit close to home given my sister was recently at a concert like the one in question; I think to myself, “What if it’d been her, what would I have done, how would I have coped with that?”, and…I honestly can’t find an answer.

If anything, I find the incredible strength and resolve of the people affected by this to be truly inspiring, the locals lending rooms, the free taxis, the brave individuals who went in and aided the situation despite the potential of lingering threats and of course the emergency services; it helps to remind us that we are as capable of good as we are evil, no matter how much the latter takes focus these days, and that’s what I want to remember about this situation.

Thank you for posting OP, as others have said, my thoughts are with those who have been affected by this senseless attack, and I continue to hope for the day when atrocities like this no-longer occur, however unrealistic that may seem.

This keeps happening more and more it seems and it’s a shame and tragedy. Thoughts and condolences to all the family and friends who lost someone.

You’re very welcome. We have some great people here on the forums.

I pray for all who were affected by the attack, physically or emotionally. Thank God for people like you who care about others.

I wish I had the power to control time and literally warn manchester about this attack, or just stop the guy that caused it. I was horrified once I heard this on the news. All of the families that are traumatized from this experience. My heart and prayers go out to each individual that was killed in this atrocity.

So sad things like this keep happening in this world hope the victims and their families find peace to his pain

It is really sad.

It’s been a bad few days for music. First Cornell’s suicide and now this at a concert. I guess a silver lining (if there is such a thing) it showed the great capacity for good that people are capable of. I hope the families and friends find peace after all of this.
