I just came back from trying to play Halo 4 for the 3rd day in a row, i CANNOT stand it. Its terrible, no wonder it doesnt break 50,000 players.
Ill stick to Halo 3 , an almost decade old game over this piece of crap.
This is one of the most constructive, well thought out threads I have ever seen.

I’d gladly go back to halo 3 for customs anytime. Some of my best memories are there. As for the MP it feels like a straight down grade from 4 so i’m not interested in it. halo 3 MP was good at it’s time and that time only to me. The only other halo MP i touch is reach only for invasion and the classic playlist because of it’s maps and the 3SK pistol.

Halo have to evolve, it’s the same with each opus avec this game, you idiot if you stay playing h3 ( okay it’s a really really good game but please h3 released 6 years ago … move ! ).

Halo does´t have to evolve. WoW, Assassin´s Creed, FIFA, CS and fuc***ing tetris shows that some titles doesn´t need to “evolve” in order to be popular.
What really makes me cry is that people keep saying: “Halo needs to evolve” “H4 refreshened Halo” well, what H4 really did? It copied Call of Duty so bad that it´s name should be Halo of Duty 0,001.

Don’t say that to me please, I play to HCE, H2, H3, H4, HR, HW, I’m a Halo Fan since the begining and me too H4 sares me sometimes but it’s evolve the way the community want, not mine !

This thread looks pretty uncontructive. Especially with the title.
Some changes are good, complementing and adding to the gameplay. Dual-wielding, vehicle boarding, interactive environments, customizable armor permutations, Invasion, Forge, Theater, and file sharing were all innovations made in previous games, and while some didn’t like the changes, the masses did.
Some changes are bad, detracting from the gameplay, making the game play like a different game altogether. Armor Abilities, perks, Personal and Random Ordnance, customizable loadouts, locked weapons and abilities, and sprint were all changes made in Reach and Halo 4, and while some liked the changes, the masses did not.
You’re right in that games need to change and add features with each iteration and that these features will not always be liked by everyone. However, the changes still need to be liked by the most amount of people possible.
Many people criticize Call of Duty by saying that it’s the same game every year, but that’s exactly why it has been so popular for so long. Infinity Ward and Treyarch didn’t make a few great games and then say to themselves, “screw it. Let’s completely change everything.” No, they have a particular style of shooter, and they keep that style consistent with every new game. They make changes and add features, of course, but those changes and additions complement and enhance the same core gameplay, which is always there. How many CoD players have you ever heard say, “man, the new game sucks, I’m gonna keep playing the old one”? Very few. Because the gameplay is so consistent, Call of Duty is able to attract new players while still retaining its veterans. This is something Halo has not been able to do for the past couple of games.
I’m sorry OP that you do not enjoy this game. We will miss you. Maybe you will change your mind, after 343I changes Halo X1.

I can accept that its population is lower. Everyone does/can.
Does that make us not like the game? No.
Does that make your opinion any better than ours? No.

so instead of going to another game or providing ways to better halo, instead of just crying about it, you decide to come to the forums and hope you come across other players who feel the same way? i don’t know about you, but if i hate something, i just avoid it and go to someone else.

Yes, Halo does need to evolve, nobody is arguing against that.
However, many players feel that Halo 4 evolved in the wrong direction. Rather than innovating in ways that truly compliments the traditional core of Halo gameplay, Halo 4 went down a path of imitating other modern franchises and adding in aspects that don’t fit in with the ideals of Bungie’s Halo games.
As it was put very well in a Halo Reach ViDoc, Halo has always been about two men entering a room. The better man leaves the room victorious, while the loser is left respawning. Halo has always been fair, fun. In Halo 4, however, this idea isn’t really applied. Two men can enter the room, but does the better man win? No, due to additions like Personal Ordnance, one man might enter the room with a Rocket Launcher or Incineration Cannon, even if he’s terrible, all due to getting a few assists. The other player might be superior in skill, but there’s nothing he can really do in this case. He’s now the one to be left…err…not respawning, due to instant respawn…
Now, I’m glad that you love Halo 4, and I myself still find some enjoyment in it every now and then, although I don’t feel the passion of playing it like I did with Halo 1-3, and even Reach. Plus, the population dropped like crazy within the first week. Numbers do not lie, the majority of the online population dislikes Halo 4. 343i needs to do better with Halo 5 to win those people back, much much better.
As for your comment of calling the guy an idiot for playing Halo 3, what’s up with that, really? Just because somebody is playing a game that they enjoy rather than playing whatever is newest, they’re stupid? Really? I myself go back and play Halo 3 and Reach every now and then, and I have a blast in both. In fact, I still go and play games that are over 15 years old, and find myself enjoying them very much. So please, even if you have a differing opinion regarding which games “should” be played these days, at least don’t be closed-minded to the point of insulting other people who wish to find entertainment in their own ways, alright?
it can maybe be true that most things in halo are from cod. but there is 1 thing that halo has got first then cod and that is custom armor chance.
the first halo that got it was maybe halo 3 and cod has start it with that on black ops.

…Halo 3 is only six years old though… That’s not almost.
But anyways, I fail to see what you are trying to get out of this. You have not given detailed, understandable explanations as to why you don’t play the game and you have just written a post that has no point to have been written. There are hundreds of threads just like this one where the OP makes a blatant post. And for some reason the OPs of those threads seem to think their two sentence rages will convince the pro-Halo 4 community to do something anti-343i.
