> If you have ever played a “Classic” version of Halo multiplayer, then you would see why so many hate Halo 4. Before you go and say, “well Halo changed you need to adapt or let it go!”, I’m all in for change and new additions, but I think 343 went over the top with everything they did. This game does not cater to semi-competitive players at all because of the aim assist, huge hit box, and no de-scoping. Not to mention power weapons for everyone after just a couple kills. When I say semi-competitive players, I don’t mean MLG, or those people who like to boast about themselves being a higher level, I just mean in general people who play for a challenge, or something to work towards. If they would change a few of the things I mentioned above, added in both social and ranked playlists, this game would no doubt be the best in the series. Why not benefit ALL players instead of just one side? I guess microsoft doesn’t want that though. Just looking for the money.
The problem with these assertions is they are baseless as you’re obviously trying to prove a point.
I hosted Halo CE LAN parties for 3 years prior to Halo 2’s release. I also competed in local tournaments that were held including public game shows.
I was in the Xbox Live beta and have been on Live over 10 years now (as shown by their anniversary and my profile on Live).
I was at midnight launch for Halo 2 and played on Live since it’s release up until Halo 3.
I was at midnight launch for Halo 3 and played on Live since it’s release up until Halo Reach.
I was at midnight launch for Halo Reach and played on Live since it’s release.
I could go on. And I think that Halo 4 amazing. Yes it’s added features to the Halo sandbox and no, it doesn’t play EXACTLY like classic Halo games. I’m sorry but if that’s what you expected then I could have told you to not even bother with Halo 4. It’s 2012 and games have changed a LOT since Halo CE released especially in the multiplayer realm. 343i did what they had to do and brought Halo into the modern age.
But the KEY is that the game still plays like Halo. The tactics we all have used since CE (the nade timing, the jump strafing, etc…) are all still there and it’s an utter blast to see that Halo combined with the new.
I’m sorry if you don’t enjoy it. But don’t think making statements like “If you had played earlier Halos you would see” as they are BLATANTLY false and only further demonstrate your sad need to prove a point that doesn’t exist.
