Males and Females

Weird Question But In Halo 3 and below I have seen U.N.S.C Male and Female Soldiers, But The Whole Covient Looked like Male Aliens No Females. Will the New Enemy’s Have Both Males and Females in there Fleet or are they Sexist to?

Well, the Promethean Knights are not organic (living) creatures. They are machines, thus they have no gender. There have always been active duty female Marines in the UNSC, but maybe the Covenant races felt that females should not fight. I’m not sure if that’s ever been covered in the fiction or not, but a warrior species like the Sangheili displays a lot of pride, honor, and valor in their acts of war. They may feel as if it would be unethical to send their females to war when the strong and powerful males could be doing the fighting.

How is that sexist? I wouldnt want my gf or wife or sister to go to war! And you’d want to shoot a chick? Dude…THAT’s wrong!

Well with what’s left of the covenant (which isn’t much) the females usually stay at home and look after the planet and the males fight. It’s sexist but that’s the way their society works. This hold true especially for the Sangheili.

First off, All the drones you ever fought, assuming they’re related to Earth insects, were female.
second, it was probably unethical to send in females to war, some of the grunts were probably female too.

  • Sangheili culture.

How is it sexist? It’s how their society works. The males train to be soldiers.

If we don’t stay on topic, this thread will get locked.

+1 Ditto. Read the books, or don’t. I’m just a player, can’t force you to do anything.

EDIT:This book describes their culture and how their society works, as I recall.Halo Glasslands

Edit 2:Halo Wiki. I’ll leave this here for those who want more info on Sangheili.

Have you ever thought that the Sangheili females maybe biologically unfit for combat? They could be about as strong and large as the average male…human.

Plus, there is the fact the in many species, the males are usually the stronger of the two sexes. There are some in which the females are the dominant -Yoink!-, but I don’t believe the Covenant has any.

I fail to see how this post is relevant to anything at all.

Will there be female enemies in Halo 4.

well you see the elites their women do all of the house work and dont fight. the jackels the higher ranking ones are usualy female. as for the rest of them idek.(i got this info from the books)

You do see female Elite soldiers. You probably can’t tell because they’re not in a bikini (lol male gamer logic).

I do know that if a female Elite is very skilled with a Energy Sword she is kept away from the battlefield in order to breed, hoping that she can give birth to many more Energy Sword skilled Elites.

Here’s that same link with a few hundred less ads.

We only shoot dudes, it would be more equal if we fought females as well.

Kinda like saying women are too fragile to fight and we won’t be able to handle shooting them.
