OK I don’t know if anyone from 343 will actually read this, so i’m going to have to try and find a more direct way of getting this message to them. To anyone who reads this, if you know how to send it to them,please do so. After reading you will soon know the importance of it. there is a good chance that they might of already done this but we have to make sure. I love this series too much to see it fall. There MUST be a TRADITIONAL playlist. I mean traditional to every last detail in regards to how halo 3 or 2 was (your call people, you tell them which, either will work fine). I hate to say it but people become “touchy” when you mess with their games, especially halo fans. Now the changes they’re doing are a bit radical. While I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, a game developer is allowed to let their game progress through stages.The more conservative fans which their are a good number of will feel alienated. If you lose the fans that have stayed loyal since the beginning it can really hurt the fanbase and its image. Not to mention its mostly those fans who talk any other game or person into the ground who tries to insult the halo franchise. look at any halo video, there is always 1 COD boy who’s been forever humiliated by one of the vets. Again you wont lose all of them; there are going to be vets who think the changes are good. Also there will be people like me who think halo is good no matter what (but hey that’s just because it is). You still cant afford to lose them though.
Right now I have been keeping up with halo four vigorously to make sure that everything is going together smoothly.Trying to make sure who is mad and who is happy and why. This may just sound like a repeat, but most people really dont seem to have a problem with these radical changes. Its just that the old style players feel like they have lost their game.Yet Again people think these ideas are good changes.Before I say what I mean by TRADITIONAL playlist I will state what the halo 4 changes will be so people understand the importance of its existence. Right now most people are saying halo 4 will become somewhat more like COD, what with the perks and load outs.Even though I really don’t consider that being like cod and rather enjoy the idea of load outs. This message is so that everyone is happy. Now im not sure if COD started the whole perk system, but im pretty sure I can say without being spammed that they are the ones who made it famous.
Then the other game 343 integrated from is Prefect Worlds game called Blacklight retribution. Blacklight has been up and running for a while now (quite fun actually) and the thing that makes it stand out are 2 things halo 4 will have. One of those is the Hyper Reality Visor which is to put it simply prothean vision (or prometheon vision whatever it is). Then there is number 2, the call downs. 343 has not given enough information for me to say what the call downs system will be more related to, the COD way or the BLACK LIGHT way. It’s a fair guess from what I know,that the mechanic will be more like blacklight (they are close to the same, just blacklight has one more step in it). The new gameplay mechanic for allowing everyone to have sprint will effect more in the mid-ground.If you disagree with this implemented gameplay mechanic than please, feel free to suggest other ideas.I dont think that the ability for everyone to sprint needs that much of a spotlight. Seeing as how it feels like a natural flow of change from REACH.
The TRADITIONAL playlist must operate in the same style of Halo 3 or 2.
- NO PERKS
- NO LOADOUTS
- NO RANDOM WEAPON DROPS
- NO CALL DOWNS
- NO EVERYONE HAS SPRINT (i know i said it isnt radical but it isnt traditional if its there)
- NO ARMOR ABILITIES
These are the ones im aware are the main problem with people. Get rid of these for that playlist and you will already make a ton of people unbelievably happy. If you want to just do that, it will make you receive a big thank you from all the conservative fans. If you want to do the extra mile and just make it feel like halo 3 when you play that playlist you will be idolized at the most caring developers for their fanbase. You can keep weapons and vehichles, no one cares if those stay in that playlist they’ll enjoy. The main thing to have in it are balance improvements that you have learned over all the new halo games.
