I was part of the Playtests and even then i gave feedback to this, but here we go again:
This game is lacking almost every meaningful setting a competetive mouseplayer would need to adjust the mouse sensetivity.
Even indie games do have at least a config file where you can edit your sense to be on point!
You cant just have ,1 decimals in a mouse setting and call it a day.
Your Scopes dont seem to follow any coefficient, wich is a setting almost every meaningful pc shooter offers you to change.
Oh and if you want to offer competetive PC gaming… i would advise to have a true fullscreen option.
I know this is a Windows Game, and they never seem to offer true fullscreen… but people prefer it for a reason,
mainly because of reducing input lag to an absolute minimum.
I think you game turned out to be very good… but i just dont understand how these basic settings are not in the game.
If you offer a PC Version of this game, this should absolutely have the options to precisely setup your mouse aim. Choose what coefficient you want to use with your scopes and the option to have zooms that fell natural to your selected FOV.
If there was at least the option to fine tune the scopes you could figure out a setting that works for you.
Some people play more than one game… playing halo on PC will have a whole different feel than, say CS:GO, Battlefield, Rainbow Six or any other game you might want to switch to on a daylie bases.
If this is a design decision to justify crossplay, because acurate pixel aim would be an unfair advantage… pleasse just disable crossplay, because this is just not a solution.
I am sick of PC titles lacking proper settings, and it feels like this game ist just a console port without any thought of actual PC FPS fans.
And i dont care if the series has been mainly a console title. Its out on PC. Give us proper PC settings.
I mean, Microsoft Studios UIUX usually needs time in the oven. LTT made the same comments.
This isn’t how DX12 works, Windows 10 + FSB/FSO do not induce latency and this was addressed in the 2nd report. They did say they will work on offering it for those who need it for whatever reasons, but I feel like people don’t get how this stuff works at a deeper level
My thing is the shooting range could maybe be setup for open practice and a purpose built tuning menu be made whenever the UXUI team can get to it.
I agree. The scopes aren’t any relative sens to non-scope sens. So aiming with mouse is actually pretty inconsistent when using scopes. As a ranked player, I would want more decimals in the sensitive settings and keep my aim consistent.
Doesn’t matter if this game series started exclusively as a console franchise, they are advertising Halo Infinite as esports for PC and controller, and so it should be treated as such.
If I understand you correctly, there is a setting for the sensitivity multiplier for every zoom level in the game under keyboard and mouse. It’s a drop down menu so probably hard to see.
This is a myth. With direct x 12,borderless fullscreen does not have a latency or performance penalty compared to fullscreen exclusive mode.
I agree though that more decimal places on the sensitivity option would be nice.
PC here as well, was in both play tests as well. Honestly the way infinite has made mouse aim garbage to try and “level” the playing field with controller is a slap in the face to pc gamers. I ended up just cranking my dpi up to 5k and cranked the sensitivity to 1.3 to find a someone okay place. Still not pixel precise but it’s better than what I started with.
