Making a perfect map

Okay everyone I build maps, and well so far the ones that I have built have gotten good reviews. Now I would like to know what would be the perfect map for people to build? What do you think would make a great map? What would the layout look like? Any help and feed back would be great so I can create a great map for people to play on.

I think symmetry is very important. One of the best things about Halo is the “even starts”/fighting over top control/map control. I’d keep that in mind. Sometimes less is more, you don’t have to go all crazy putting items everywhere, often times it just hurts the eyes.

Most of the maps I prefer have the same bases, with a spot for a power weapon in the middle. (Think The Pit/Narrows/Sanctuary), I think those are some of the best. (Atleast for 4v4 competitive play).

As for how it looks? That’s in your imagination, get creative and make it how YOU see it.

It depends. What are you designing it for? Default? TU? MLG? CTF? Assault? Slayer? Everything?

DL links and screenshots. And symmetry isn’t important, it only matters if the map is balanced. For me a big thing is aesthetics. I know they don’t really matter but they are one thing that can put your map above others, that’s why all of my maps have great aesthetics. But no matter what the map layout and aesthetics should be unique, along with some sort of unique gameplay element. Don’t be mistaken, always remember gameplay comes first.

well one of my maps called The factory has multiple levels on it, as of right now it is playable for slayer but there are no weapons placed about yet, and I mainly play swat on it. The map has been played with a total of 11 people at once all against each other and they all loved it.
