Make up a power up ! (

So, You can make up a Power Up that can be put into a forge map, on a map, or as a ordnance drop.

Ulra Fire

Allows you to duel wield any two weapons for 25 seconds. Speed and armor remains the same. Damage and such also stays the same.

When 25 seconds is up you can’t DW anymore.

Also_

Duel Wielding two, two handed weapons would require 4x the normal reload time. However Duel Wielding one handed weapons would be a lot quicker.

Accuarcy and such would be affected slightly with some weapons, more with others.

YOU CAN’T D/W SHOTGUNS OR ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE PUMPED PER SHOT

So, Make one up.

This is kind of off topic, but they should put ideas people come up with here in the custom powerup settings.

I dunno-I’ll have a think about it.

I know!

One which gives you infinite ammo…

Actually-that one would be crap…

> This is kind of off topic, but they should put ideas people come up with here in the custom powerup settings.

Stackable custom powerups:

Retrieving any custom powerup would give you the traits assigned to it for that gametype, but picking up another custom powerup would add those same traits again, compounding on the effects of the first one

or

A custom powerup weapon setting, meaning that picking up the powerup would give the player a specific weapon, replacing the weapons they currently have.

Active Camo- Become totally invisible for 45 seconds. Shooting and throwing grenades causes your invisibility to fade a bit, but it recovers after you stop shooting.

We already got a damage and speed boost, I need nothing more.

I’d make one that is blue, and when you pick it up it makes it so it’s harder for people to see you. Kinda like an active camo. I think that would be great for a POWER UP.

a green orb which grants the player a turret that shoots heat seeking sniper shotgun shells which go for the head and explode upon impact. each bullet has a splash damage of a rocket launcher and the turret has a fire rate of 1000 bullets/seconds. it also has an infinite hardlight shield protecting the player.

> a turret that shoots heat seeking sniper shotgun shells which go for the head and explode upon impact. each bullet has a splash damage of a rocket launcher and the turret has a fire rate of 1000 bullets/seconds. it also has an infinite hardlight shield protecking the player. it could be unlocked for use in costume loadouts.

No random critical hits.

Balancing is done, now to model it.

Berserk
Increases weapon rate of fire speed. Additionally, it will also supply full ammo for all the weapons you currently have.(Best for Automatic weapon usage)

Slow Field
Slows enemies in a 3m radius, except this sucker’s portable.(Could be by teams to slow pursuing enemies going for flag carrier)

Jump Boots
Boots that allow players to jump higher around the map opening up new routes temporarily. These boots are activated by double jumping. It is also possible to dodge-jump if and only if you have these boots.(Double-jump a more balanced and tactical jetpack)

Those are pretty much copied from UT, alot of stuff from that game could work in Halo.

My unique power-ups I came up with tailored to Halo:

Rifle-men- Your shields do not regenerate for 30 secs, but your damage is multiplied X2. Best if used by a sniper, or from in cover.(Kind of a play on the damage power-up)

Adrenaline- All player movements/actions are increased X2 for 30 seconds.(Basically an improved speed boost)

Explosion- All explosives and splash damage increased for 30 seconds. On top of this, if you die you will explode and cause heavy splash damage on nearby enemies.

Elementalist- Using Human,Covenant, and Promethean weapons will have different effects.

Human- Bullets temporarily become fire, applying powerful DOT effects for half of that weapons damage.

Covenant- Plasma temporarily stuns enemies and all vehicles, especially useful in CQB and for fleeing enemies.

Promethean- Temporarily gain chain lightning effects on near by enemies. Useful on groups of enemies/near enemy bases.

Some of those ideas are pretty unrealistic, but I feel like some of those could work =)

Hmm… I’ve got an idea for a power up.

Brute Force

This is a white orb that, when grabbed, grants a Spartan loads of pure muscle power. They glow a bright shine of bleach, and can zoom on to targets three times the distance of the Energy Sword.

Pros:

-Instant one hit punch on an enemy

-Jump height increased (For awesome air stomp attacks)

-Aim assist for melee increased

Cons:

-Only 15 seconds to use it

-Lock on has a two second wind up animation (Ex. You see your Spartan clench his fists and then lunges)

-You cannot use your weapons while under the Brute Force’s influence

So in short, this is like a stronger version of a sword lunge. Close combat maps will most likely utilize this power up, such as Adrift. Some things to make it balanced would be to make the attack dodgeable if the enemy jumps out of the way, stomping attacks having slight lag before moving, etc.

God Mode:
Makes you undestroyable for 20 seconds. :stuck_out_tongue:

Jokes aside, maybe some Jumping Powerup which lets you jump just a bit higher, but only once. I don’t know why it would be useful or anything, but it is something, actually the 1st thing that popped up in my head.

Marksmen- reduces spread on all primary and secondary weapons while slowing the player down about 15% their normal running speed

Distraction

  • The player is surrounded by an effect, which makes the player looks a little bit pixelated

The effect would either (or both) be:
A) Enemies close to the player gets their screen pixelated the closer they are and the HUD starts being screwed up (The ammo counter constantly changes, the radar constantly disappears and so on)
B) When enemy looks at the player, the same effect starts as in option A, but it gets more pixelated the closer the player is to the crosshair

The pixelation would completely pixelate the vision only, if the effect appeared like in option A and the player is about a meter or less away. Option B wouldn’t entirely pixelate the vision.

Lasts:
30 or 45 seconds

Assault

  • There’s a dark purple light glowing from the player.

The effect:
The player isin’t detected in the radar, the movement speed is increased a little bit. The player also gets slightly increased shield (BR becomes 6 shot kill just to compare) and the player’s ammunation of the weapons selected in his/her loadout is regenerated slowly.

Lasts:
30 seconds

Shockwave

  • The player is surrounded with sparks. The shadow has a turqoise outline in it.

The effects:
The player’s jump height is increased, but the gravity is heavier for him/her.

  1. Landing from a jump causes a shockwave, which damages enemies within 5 meters. One jump depletes shields, two jumps kill players without shields. Jet packs can’t cause this shockwave to happen.
  2. Moving without being crouched causes a shockwave after having moved non-stop for 10 meters. Damages enemies within 3 meters as, if they were shot with non-charged shot from a plasma pistol.
  3. If the player’s shield is depleted, enemies within 10 meters take damage same way as in 1)
  4. Slightly faster shield recharge

Lasts:
30 seconds

Shockwave and Distraction feel a little bit overpowered

> God Mode:

Nerf that by 12 seconds, and buff it to god mode by making it an AA and you got AL. OR buff that by about 10 seconds and allow movement and you got the Paladin “Bubble shield” from WoW IMO. Both fan favorites im sure.

Yeah, there is a pick-up in UT that is like what you’re describing. it is pretty awesome and not OP like jetpack.

This is a must

In my op

A little monitor that has a mini smg like gun that hovers by you until it explodes. 3sk with rifles or an emp from a plasma pistol.

I don’t know what you would call it, but something that gives you the traits of the Spy from TF2 would be amazing. And for those that haven’t played TF2 that means the ability to appear as a member of the enemy team as well as turning invisible at will.
