Halo Reach’s sniper was too easy to use. Halo 4’s sniper should be HARDER so so kid kid just can’t pick it up and let the aim-assist do all the work. Lower the aim-assist and get rid of the recoil(were super soldiers we don’t need recoil). Lower the Aim-Assist and the sniper will be good.
Check the videos, I haven’t seen any aim-assist at all.

Honestly, I’d rather see the recoil be in place. If you want added difficulty, you’ll want to give players an incentive to make every shot count. Miss, and it’ll be harder to line another shot as the target either runs out or shoots back.
Taking away recoil would make it easier to two-shot an enemy.

Recoil should be in place, they might be super soldiers but its still a 50 caliber sniper rifle dude.
I’m all for making it tougher to use, as others said i would keep the recoil anyway. It’s to easy for a player to control a map from far away while being able to take out vehicles or get a potential 12 kills in Reach. I haven’t really looked to much into how it functions in 4 but hopefully it becomes a weapon of skill again.
Who’s ‘so so kid kid’?
It’s fine. It’s a POWER WEAPON.
Frankie said that it is somewhere between Halo 2 and Halo Reach in terms of difficulty.
It wasn’t that the sniper was to easy, no it was the fact that it was to powerful. It needs to be nerfed so its not the go to weapon for vehicle kills. Also in my opinion I have used all the sniper incarnations in halo and to me while the feel different there not hard to control, what reach got wrong was it made the sniper not balanced sure you could use the snipers for vehicles kills in other games but it was no where near as easy to get. Also for your point of it will make kids not get it what is that to mean. Are you a kid? The way you make it sound is make the sniper a difficult puzzle to use that so no one will want to use it. I am sorry but skill does in this game does not come from figuring out how to use a weapon. Lets say you got your way, then the sniper sticks out for that, why not have all the power weapons be that way then?

lol

Sure, that’s what one person said, but ultimately it all boils down to opinion, and skill. An mlg pro has compared it to Halo 3’s sniper in a multiplayer video where they all shared their opinions on the weapons, and how they felt.
See what I’m getting at? It’s all opinion.
No it’s fine. In Reach people still can’t land a headshot even with large amounts of aim assist so there’s really no need to change it.

…and the project lead’s opinion is worth infinitely more than MLG pro who got15 minutes of playtime with it.
All precision weapons should have low amounts of aim assist, Sniper Rifle included.
Gameplay > Realism
'Nuff said.
No, if it’s harder to use I won’t be able to use it!
It is harder to use than Reach.
- You can tell in the vids. Less aim assist more recoil.
- 343i and people who have actually played Halo 4 said it is.

They could of changed it since alot of players were sucking with it at E3 and such. Hopefully not though, if anything I would increase the RoF to the H1 sniper rifle to make it easier and also a more dynamic weapon. Thats why the H1 sniper was so great, its hard to use but fires really fast so you can pull some really big plays off if you’re accurate.

Just because he’s leading the project doesn’t mean he’s going to be a complete beast in every aspect of the game.
How the Halo sniper should be.
The H1/H3 sniper was what the sniper should be in Halo, the skill weapon but the most potent weapon in the hands of a skilled player. Like I should be able to say, “Wow OGRE 2 and Gandhi are elite snipers” in the case of H1/H2, or in the case of Halo 3 “Wow, Snipedown and Neighbor are by far the best snipers”.
