Make The New Emblem Permanent

They should keep free emblems like this available for a whole year at minimum or permanent/indefinitely. Why does it need to leave after the month is over? I understand waiting to introduce it this month but keep it free and available for a year or indefinitely.

To me it just adds immediate ability to customize your overall look when they have a whole back log of emblems, coatings, weapon skins, etc. that are free and available for anyone who first loads the game up. For people who don’t like it they can always just not equip it like I do with armor coatings that were free but I don’t like the look of.

Well, these LGBT things are all very nice in the West, but it is purely for pink money, since we are all just consumers to them. It’s funny how the same corporations will bend over backwards to appease “cultural norms” elsewhere. They aren’t doing it out of altruism.

I wonder if you can get the nameplate if you play Halo in Saudi Arabia or similarly LGBT-hostile country. For example I have played games where they literally ship different character models so not to offend certain market regions. Or, they simply don’t make certain titles available.

I am glad that they are never going to make one for my demographic.

I have German heritage, so yeah.

Hopefully they cover all the bases that should be covered in time.

This forum isn’t America though. Free speech concept only applies to speaking out against government without fear of being locked up for it. I don’t know why so many people think it means “I should be able to say whatever I want, wherever I am, damn the consequences”.

About censorship; 343i have the right to “censor” what they like. You agreed to their rules when you signed up to post here.

Hey so uh can you not rant about why you don’t support the LGBT community when all the lady asked about was if the emblem is staying?

Geez. This is one tough crowd.

You have 30 days to get your current year flavor of corpo pandering to X demographic. If someone doesn’t want to log on because of this, I don’t blame them; the game’s hardly worth playing as is.

As others have said, if you’re not around for 30 days to simply log in to the game for a few seconds then tough luck, you can’t get it. There’s so much FOMO in this game and the one thing you’re moaning about is the fact that you have to simply start the game once in a 30 day period to get a mediocre nameplate… SHAKE. MY. HEAD.

People complained that they didn’t get 2 helmets during a six month period. They’ll complain about anything.

If the reason you want it to be year round is to spite homophobes, then that isn’t a great idea. Trying to make a group that is already against your cause more angry won’t cause them to 180 around to your cause. If they don’t want the pride emblem on their account at all (their loss, it’s a decent emblem. I’ll probably use it after pride month ends since I don’t want it to be overused), let them. Don’t shove it down their throats.

I’d rather they make it to where you have to claim it if you want it in your inventory, that way you appease both sides. I personally don’t want it in mine, but not enough to not play for a whole month. Would’ve definitely liked to have had the choice though.

They could have it redeemable with a code all year round.

I think it’s wild that people wouldn’t log in just because they don’t want an emblem in their inventory.

What’s the opposite of FOMO? FOBI (fear of being included)?

I don’t think it’s hard at all. I just don’t like artificial scarcity, especially in a digital environment.

Bummer. I’d like to see all sorts of ways to show off our spartans in a way that reflects our interests.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. I adore the muted color aesthetics of the Atari era art.
