The introduction of the robotic prometheans is an opportunity to add some interesting gameplay.
They don’t bleed like humans and covies, so we could be even more savage without it seeming too gorey
For example, if I slice a Knight in the arm with my Sword, I want that arm cut off. The sword, while unique, hasn’t felt like a sword outside of assassinations.
It just blows people away, doesn’t decapitate, doesn’t sever. I 'd love to see a mechanic like that.
Also, what happened to death moans? Previous Halos felt like you were fighting with a person and not a machine because the spartans had voices. From time to time I hear death moans, but they are almost inaudible and can’t compare to the ones from Halo 2 and 3.
Spartans should have more skills, animations, and abilities that would be more interesting and interactive. Of course they would be be campaign-exclusive for the sake of balancing issues and to not change up the game’s formula too radically.
I understand what you mean, but its Halo. Its science fiction. If they put the reality of the Energy Sword and plasma weapons in game, I think it’d make the rating from ‘M’ go up a bit. Remember, gameplay<canon

I mean I understand this is Halo, but I hardly see the rating going up. GoW is still M 17+ and Halo lacks enough blood, gore, profanity, nudity, and all the other things that classify a game as “Mature” as it is.
I don’t think severing the limbs of robotic creatures would be too drastic. You see it all the time in children’s shows.
I’d just like to see a change in campaign gameplay at the least. QTEs were kind of a step forward, I could imagine seeing boss battles come back.

Would be an opportunity to implement a regeneration Promethean unit, building on the cut Flood Pure Form that did that.

Elite deaths in CE gave me joy.
But their blood splattered on the walls was even greater elation.

I was expecting a little bit of parkour in Campaign. Thruster Pack doesn’t come close but it’s decent (in campaign).
Also, imagine if we could customize Chief with tactical packages and support upgrades (unlocked by finding them in the Campaign). Obviously, this would not be enabled by skulls but would be a separate option. The penalty of using this option is you can’t enable scoring (pretend it’s in).
> I get where your coming from, and just for campaign, I wouldn’t mind seeing the massive strength that a Spartan has really show.
Why do we need Cowbell on just to move a Covenant supply case? I noticed in Spartan Ops they barely budge when meleed compared to campaign (then again I always play Campaign with Cowbell on).

When 343i said that they were trying to make Master Chief feel stronger in this game, I had high expectations. I wasn’t too disappointed with the QTEs but I was hoping for something related to the QTEs in God of War boss battles for example.
