Make the AI better?

Personally I thought the AI’s fail moments gave for some good clips and laughs. Should they be actually INTELLIGENT or should they stay loltards.

The difficulty needs to be tweeked. Its not fun putting in 5x as many bullets in a legendary elite compared to a heroic elite. Higher difficulties should have more enemies, who are more aggressive. Not the same amount of enemies with massive overshields.

I don’t think you understood.

Your question is stupid. I was trying to bring value into this topic.

But to answer your question, they should stay loltards. huehuehuheuehueheuhueheuheuehuehueheuheuehueheuheuehuehueheuheuehueheuheuehuehueheuehueheuehuehueheuehue BR

I don’t think it can get any better than Reach’s especially with the 360 current hardware.

Other than driving, they’re pretty good.

on 360 the ai wont be much if any better than reach. if it also released on the next console ( possible but muy unlikely) the AI and graphics could both be pushed much further.

I do want the AI to be intelligent. It’s very frustrating when you are trying your hardest in the warthog and Kat “accidentally” drives off a cliff or into a wraith thus killing everyone. She’s even bad at shooting!

Reach AI was like babyfood. The fundamentals of moving targets were there, but that was about it. The pinnacle of enemy ‘intelligence’ was to suddenly move out of your field of view. Elites had a habit of running straight at you. Plus, when you break their shield, they just stand there and yell at you. There’s no apparent thought process, just boring garbage that doesn’t sell me at all. Don’t even mention your AI buddies who act like they’ve only got one goddam magazine.

No doubt Halo 4 will improve on AI functions, because there’s nowhere to go but up.

Agreed.

In my Theater Videos i saved a clip of two brutes humping/having -Yoink!-, then the brute being humped launch’s across the map hits a curved rock and launches 20 feet into the air…

I also have seen elites stick Jakels, brutes stick other brutes or themselves, Noble team Armor lock for No reason, Enemy banshees fly into a wall, Phantoms drive through buildings, Grunts trow grenades to close to themselves, and Marines drive off cliffs. Even Human players Betray each-other… A.I needs some work lol. But then again they’re still pretty smart, and their stupity at times make them fun/funny…

I think the friendly AI should stay as bad as they are. I remember letting a marine drive the warthog while I mounted the turret on the third level in Halo 3. First thing the marine does is drive off the cliff. They should stay this stupid for funny clips and laughs IMO, BUT the enemy AI could be changed.
I want them to do something new to make them more challening and interesting. The enemy AI has behaved pretty much the same in the Halo series. Since we face a new enemy(correct me if Im wrong) I want the AI to be new so it feels like we are facing a new enemy.

Ally AI needs a major overhaul.

CE had better AI than Reach. In Reach, the elites are happy to stand out in the open, jumping around and shooting back at you until someone dies. In CE, if they were down on shields, they would run behind something. If you were down on shields, they would rush you.

I still remember all those times elites bum-rushed me in Halo (the level).

I’m sure 343 will try and make them as intelligent as possible. It’s not easy making AI though…

Yeah, those elites are a pain in the -Yoink-

Simply fighting elites with pretty much any gun in halo 1 was better than ANY part of any other halo game. One of them ducked below my melee while side-stepping,(yes, you can side-step someone trying to punch you in halo 1) then I stepped back while he tried to melee me, then I stepped back in and just smashed the butt of the AR into his face like 3 times and he died. It was soooo epic. One of the best hand to hand combat experiences I’ve ever had in gaming.

The Marines simply need to damage their targets as much as we do. For those who don’t know, allies in all of the Halo games except Halo 2 do significantly less damage then the player, making Halo 2 Marines the best, imo.

And how the hell was Reach’s Covie AI bad? In no game before it have I seen an AI system be so responsive.

I think that’s just so they don’t steal your kill.

The AI seems to have gotten worse with each Halo game. Which makes no sense!

It doesn’t, but it can provide some comical relief at times. They should at least have a skull that makes them a little bit of a loltard.
