I submitted a ticket as well, pretty much got the message, I was given a link to the forums and told I should voice these types of concerns on the there. I’ve obviously already done that and there’s been literally no acknowledgement from 343 that they’re even aware of these problems/concerns. I honestly feel like I’m just screaming into the void…
It was especially painful to see zero mention of tactical slayer in the season 1 outcomes report.

Exactly! The one thing they need to do is to let SWAT live again. BR is the weapon for it.

I got an idea, fellas.
Let’s take Tactical slayer and make a point to emphasize tactics. A breakout style gamemode with objectives to prevent catastrophic scenarios. Like getting comm relays up and running so the UNSC aren’t blindsided by an insurgent rebellion.
Or something like escorting a vip. Something that gives the mode a reason to be named Tactical and not just a bland version of SWAT.

Manglers and Commando really destroyed my absolute favorite mode. Please keep it just magnums and BRs.

Yeep… The most insulting part is the complete lack of acknowledgement from 343 regarding the addition of new weapon variants in the standard tactical slayer playlist or acknowledgement of player frustrations related to the changes.

That would be implying that they give a crap about what we want. I personally will just keep quitting the games with the weapons I don’t like and not spend another dime on any armor or battle passes until they fix it, IF they fix it. Right now it is BROKE!

The simplest solution is just to make a Classic Tactical/SWAT that’s only DMR/BRs and then toss the rest into its own mixture playlist.
Personally I really enjoy playing with Commandos and Sidekicks. Manglers are fun in their own way but I think Stalkers are probably the least fun for me. But BRs do feel like they remain the best way to play Tactical Slayer.

Played two matches of Tactical Slayer yesterday, both were with BR (like it should be).
Maybe I just got lucky or the other variants aren’t in the playlist anymore.
Oh and that new map looks beautiful. _

Yeah I 100% agree. They should do a weekly rotational playlist like with MCC, and have the non-standard SWAT modes cycle through there. SWAT BRs is a lot more popular than the other variants, and queuing up for the slot machine to play it is frustrating as hell. I wouldn’t mind if SWATnums stuck around, maybe with less weighting than the other variants.

I’m fine with the sidekick and the commando, but the mangler is just not meant for the Tactical Slayer niche. I think if the likelihood of a match with BRs is around 2/3 of the time and the last third of the time it’s either the commando or sidekicks, I would be happy.
Also, how about Tactical Slayer variants where we have two weapons on spawn? It’s been done before. Let us switch to the sidekick in a pinch when our BR needs reloading.
I dunno just some thoughts.
flowter you just got lucky. They were only teasing you. They got me too. The first time I played Tuesday in the new season I got BR’s the first match on the new map. I thought “maybe” they listened to us and removed the variants but then the second game was stalker on Bazaar and my dreams were crushed. I will not spend another dime in the shop or buy another battle pass to reward their bad behavior. Anyone know of any other game that is similar to Swat?? Destiny?? I would love to give some $$ to Bungie instead…

Ah damn. I was really hoping it is BR’s only again. I also won’t buy this battle pass, maybe get it with reward points.
But I find Swat matches pretty fast and constantly in the MCC.
I refuse to play SWAT as long as they have anything other than BR or Pistols in it.
All other variants suck. At least, I hate them. Put them in a different playlist. Call that Tactical and give us a proper SWAT list. While you’re at it 343i, bring back the DMR. Thanks. See you in season 6 I guess. Back to MCC for me since I can’t even start the damn game due to S2 updates.

What would be great is a ranked BR Swat playlist. Is that really a difficult thing to do?? I really question the abilities of the people working at 343. Can’t be that darn complicated.
