Basically the title. I dont think it really needs explaining. If however people have questions as to why I will answer them.
Not social if people can see stats.
Boost theirs, brag about, farm, or make fun of stats.
Social should be just play, no ranks no stats.
medals only viewable by owner on waypoint.
There would be a hidden rank to match “fairly”.
(no champion vs bronze matches)
I agree with this.
When I play Halo 5 I play mainly infection now and I mostly come 1st, 2nd or 3rd so my win % is all messed up cause if it.
I know other people don’t care, but I do.
Totally support but dont expect change.
Honestly, with the way halo 5 is, I say go for it. maybe it will make social playlists less of a target for bad behavior as they will just blend into the rest of the playlists.
I agree.

If you care about your stats, then perform well in whatever game modes you play. If social is ‘ruining’ your stats, well that’s because you’re bad, and your stats reflect that. If infection is ruining your win rate by that much, that means you play infection a lot, so your stats should reflect how well you perform in that game type.

indeed, but u have to realize that 90% of the halo community are casual players.

That doesn’t make sense. Not everyone plays the same way in ranked and social. Someone could try in ranked and then just play social while they’re drunk or not even care about how they play in social. That doesn’t mean they’re bad, but maybe someone would get the impression that they are since their K/D would drop down.
The only options would be to try in social which defeats the purpose of it or not play it at all, but people shouldn’t be punished because 343 decided to make everything affect your overall K/D.
Yes I 100% agree. It’ll reduce the amount of frustration in people who care about their stats in competitve playlists and maybe reduce the sweatiness in social playlists if not at least half of the sweatiness.
Yup, every ranked playlist needs a casual variant of it where people can play and relax in it. If stats aren’t measured in these playlist players will relax more and I imagine that lower ranked players won’t worry about their stats on those playlists. It used to be possible to play unranked, 4v4 (NOT 5v5) slayer, ctf, etc. This should exist in h5 regardless of current population.

If you play enough social playlists for it to affect your overall K/D or win rate, then you play them often enough for them to count towards your stats fairly. Like for me, if I were to go and play infection for ten games, I would have to do extraordinarily bad for it to even move my K/D by .1 points. So if it does affect your stats that much to play those other game modes, then that means you play them often enough for it to accurately represent your skill. If five games or less ruins your stats, you’re just lying.

The fact that stats are there and visible to begin with demeans the point of social.
If people can boost, they will boost, proven time and time again.
And this isn’t even bringing up pubstomping like the last time Social Slayer was brought in.
Seasons have their own stat count so it doesn’t matter it makes sence to have an over all one too seasoned stats show where you are right now not where you were as well.

that’s not what this thread is about…

I don’t think you understand the point of social…
Your stats can already be parsed by gametype on waypoint. Given that you can view your ranked gametype stats in isolation, why is this change needed?
So you want it to be like custom games?
So the point of a social playlist is to not have to worry about any sweaty try hardy stuff or anything, and just enjoy the game. Ok. I get that. Here’s the problem though; that never happens anyway. In H3, I played social slayer more than anything else, and I was constantly getting matched with people that played super well. Being good doesn’t mean you won’t play social playlists, so it’s not going to keep you from having to try to win. I cannot stress this enough. Unranked and non stat recording game modes will not stop good players from playing them. It doesn’t even make it harder to find super competitive players.
If you play social playlists to just not have your stats recorded, well why do you even care about stats at all? And like I said before, if you’re super good and really really care about your stats, but you want to go play infection for a few and are worried it’ll ruin your stats, then just do well. It’s that simple. If you care about your stats, then perform well. If you don’t care, then you don’t care, and that’s fine as well. But complaining that this and that ruins my glorious stats probably means that your stats weren’t that good to begin with. Good players perform well across all game types.
In fact, I’d actually prefer if stats are recorded throughout all game modes because I like to see how I perform overall. If I want to play infection, and I suck at infection, then let my stats show that. It’s not punishment. It’s literally showing you how good you are (and if that’s punishment, well tough). If you’re a good player overall, then your stats won’t be negatively affected by playing anything else.
