I am tired of doing Infinity Slayer and people choose the map with Slayer Pro, which means I cannot use my load-outs…it makes me mad. I don’t waste my time to get the weapon skins and create load-outs for nothing. “Oh I’m MLG Pro, so that means that I should vote for Slayer Pro!” (that was supposed to be sarcastic if you didn’t catch that):3. NO, make Slayer Pro a different game variant to choose from in the list.
What does the poll have to do with anything?
343i currently has no plans to separate Slayer Pro into its own playlist.
Only a certain number of playlists can exist in Matchmaking at any given time. Having too many playlists that are similar to one another would fragment the population, leading to longer search times and decreased match quality. As a result, gametypes that are similar – like Infinity Slayer and Slayer Pro – sometimes have to be grouped into the same playlist.
Why does the poll have the carbine and the LR as the cheapest weapons? (I voted plasma pistol cause someone had to.)
OT, Sorry some people like settings that don’t involve free weapons for getting 70 points.
Plasma pistol, obviously is overpowered. I use it against infantry and vehicles well enough.
PEPPER PEPPER PEPPER, SWITCH, HEADSHOT!
Or
CHAAAAAARGE, EMP, SWITCH, HEADSHOT!
Or
CHAAAAAARGE, EMP, STICKYSTICKY, BOOMBOOM!
So overpowered! Lol

Besides your weapon skins, I don’t have empathy.
Every aspect of loadouts except the primary choices is flawed in one way or another. Secondaries are OP, Perks and Abilities are crutches in general.
Slayer Pro is really just Slayer Lite but flawed because it lacks radar. Throwdown already exists as the Pro playlist, Slayer Pro should be modified.
Slayer pro settings have started to bring back balance to the game Its a step in the right direction
> Slayer pro settings have started to bring back balance to the game Its a step in the right direction
How is that so? After the weapon tuning update the LR and the DMR remained as long range weapons and are now weaker than the BR and the CC in mid to close range, And all of the Slayer Pro maps were designed for mid to close combat.
And of course the BR is currently plain better that the CC, with the only exception being the tiny Bullet Magnetism difference that favors the CC, wich should be scrapped anyway.
And youre forgetting the fact that the LR still cant stand against the DMR without Stability, and the CC needs Dexterity or youll die after one kill…
SO NOPE, Slayer Pro is completely unbalanced, and favors the BR…Besides it doesnt even have a reason to exist, if you wanna play a competitive playlist, you go to Team Throwback…If you wanna have fun…well you cant go to Infinity Slayer becuase its ruined by Slayer Pro

All of them? Abandon has some decently long lines of sight where the DMR and LR can be confortably used. So does Scythe, Monolith, Landfall, Haven, and a few other select choices.

The LR can still pull off a quick 4-shot if you scope in your first shot. The BR still has spread and recoil, the Carbine punishes players for missing shots in the form of a long reload, and the DMR is still a good all-around weapon.
I find Pro settings fun because having someone get a random Sniper or Rockets while I just get a Pulse Grenade is not what fun is. Throwdown also has settings I don’t prefer, as I like being able to choose my own weapon.

Then they need to fix the rotation of this game type. Having 3 Pro game types appear as my only choice is -Yoink-. I don’t know why you guys can’t get this right.

I see less DMR and LR now than CC and LR pre-update, and im sure youll see the same.
And Abandon has a spawnkilling ground, wich shouldnt even be there, Monolith and Landfall are DLC and its REALLY hard to play in them, of course Monolith has enough cover and if you get killed form the distance its actually your fault, Landfall has this place outside that nobody goes and everyone that spawns there dies, and Haven has this very small hole that goes trough all the map and can only be used for support fire, youre right with Scythe tough.

The LR quickshot is almost impossible to do now due to how fast the game has become and how small is the advantage it brings (the 4shot trick is slower than the BR killtime), The CC is again plain worst than the BR, i dont understand why it is the only main rifle that punishes aim when it doesnt shine in anything else, and the spread and recoil of the BR is countered by the fact that it only takes 11 bullets to kill, so it tolerates failing while the CC dont…
The DMR is still and all around weapon tough.
And yeah i dont like Ordnance, but still, it always gives you one powerweapon or a Damage/Shield boost.

The only tweak the DMR received with the weapon tuning was a reduction to its RRR so saying its weaker now is just plain silly and wrong
The LR received both nerfs and buffs which cemented its place as the Premier long range weapon as it was meant to be
Using the LR on mid-close maps won’t have the same result as say using I on settler or exile same goes with the DMR
If you re using long range weapons on close-mid maps then I would suggest something is wrong with your approach and play style not the pro settings
The CC is an absolute beast now it’s ROF is amazon it’s more accurate and powerful I am constantly getting melted by the CC before I can even get three bursts of the BR off
All of the precision weapons fit well into their intended roles and can compete with each other inside their intended roles (ie DMR vs LR and BR vs CC)
Of course you are going to see more o the BR on close-mid maps but the truth is you would see that in the IS settings as well
Pro settings balance the game for the following reasons
-everyone starts off on equal footing
-no random personal ordnance
-no random global ordnance
-static weapon spawns
-no radar
-no perks
As I have Sao many times before if you are using a DMR or LR on say…adrift then of course you are going to get shredded by the BR and CC and you should be as you are using the DMR or LR OUTSIDE of its intended role
Noticed how I capitalised outside
In football you won’t use a punter for your qb
In hockey you won’t use your defenceman on face offs
You aren’t going to study English if you have a math test
Etc etc
The weapons have certain parts and roles to play if you use them outside of those roles then you will not have favourable results
> All of them? Abandon has some decently long lines of sight where the DMR and LR can be confortably used. So does Scythe, Monolith, Landfall, Haven, and a few other select choices.
Legitimate question, why isn’t Scythe in Throwdown?
> The LR can still pull off a quick 4-shot if you scope in your first shot
Yeah but with the increased killtimes its a lot of effort for little reward. The Lightrifle is solely confined to large maps or maps with long sightlines.
OP, if it makes you feel better, I created a gametype that is like Pro in that loadouts are limited, but you can still pick primaries and ordnances. It’s in my file share.
I still prefer Pro over anything having to do with the horribly imbalanced personal loadouts, though.
You know OP… if you see that everyone is choosing Slayer Pro DONT VOTE and BACK OUT.
