MAKE QUITTERS PLAY IN A QUITTERS ONLY GAME. Multiple team games have this feature. If someone continues to quit, make them play a game or 2 with other quitters. The load times are usually longer because it’s finding OTHER quitters which can be punishment enough.
The ban is beyond pointless. So you’re telling me when my team mate leaves or if the game STARTS out 3v4, I should have to sit and waste 10-15 minutes? Wait, I can’t quit the game because I’ll get banned. Terrible. I’m already getting punished with a 3v4 and knowing the quitter is getting “banned” doesn’t make me feel any better. The quitter could care less if he/she gets banned…that’s WHY they quit. But why should I have to get stomped in a 3v4 2v4, get all bummed out, TILTED. I’d rather play a quitter game then warzone. I MIGHT stay in a 3v4 if we’re winning but I’ve had to leave multiple games because they end up 2v4 or 1v4. Then I get banned.
Some people rage quit.
Make them play with other rage quitters.
I agree. The bans are clearly worthless because nearly every game I get into, there’s always at least 1 quitter. I was in a game last night, Slayer on The Rig, and the other team was beating us, but for some reason, one of their players quit and we were able to come back and take it to them. About halfway through the game, it was a 4v1 for my team. I felt bad for the guy because I’ve been in that situation many many times, but you can’t quit even a game like that without getting either a strike against you or banned.
They’ve taken the “competitive” aspect a little too far in regards to the quit ban. It’s gotten to the point now where you have to be miserable and endure a game you don’t enjoy playing simply to avoid getting banned. This is a game, something you’re supposed to enjoy. I agree that habitual quitters should be punished, but they need to figure out what “habitual” actually means first and they need to loosen up the leash a little bit on the harshness of punishments for those who are only ocassional quitters.
Quiters and trolls i believe are one of the biggest problems that Halo is facing at the moment. When they cause players to lose matches over and over and lower their ranks can cause people to move to other games.
This feature is in halo 5, it happens a few times in warzone. Still with bugs, like not having acess to the req system in game. But it is not a featur in the arena.
I woul like the oportunity in a 2v4 match to switch side to even up the teams. The game gives out a request for the player with best fiting skills and he could switch.

> How about adding the player joined feature like most other games reach and halo 4 had it
Then arena would start facing the same problem that warzone is having. The other night i joined in on a warzone game that was already having my core attached. I got 90 req points from that match.
I just think arena would be better if i had a chance to qualify with a player joined instead of tuffing out a 2v4 match in a qualifying round, maybe just make a limit on score to join so its still early enough for the person joining to win

I remember staying in multiple 1v4’s because I didn’t want to get banned. I understand it…but come on.
So is someone has to quit because of something important like a phone call or the someone at the front door or being called for assistance or better yet people who get kicked due to 343 servers or power outages or even poor ISP should only play with people who quit? Grow up it’s a video game, it will always happen!
This is why I want a social mode without quit bans, that way people who know they can’t gaurentee a full game can just pop into it and play away without fear of punishment over such a dumb thing, I have been banned 1 time and generally don’t quit but I do get disconnected a fair bit which I cannot stop!
Other games with quit bans or punishments only have them on their competitive modes and have somewhere for people to play where these don’t apply. Halo decided screw that lets ban for everything even game modes as social as infected.
Also just for the record, I only see about 1 quiter in Arena every 30 matches or so.
I have never intentionally quit a game I have been in, I have even joined in a warzone game were the team I joined was losing 700 to 100, the enemy had all the bases and our core was at 75% and we were pinned down being farmed and I still stuck it out to the end. But last weekend I went through an hour or so of being dropped out of games with the error ‘lost connection to server’ that gave me 5 DNF’s and I got hit by the bannhammer. Are you saying I should be punished and put with other quitters? IMO I think the bannhammer needs to be tweaked so people like myself are not punished for something out of their control.
Hit em where it hurts. RP & XP penalty!!!
Penalize quitters double the RP & XP amount of a full game for whatever game mode they were playing on.
If they keep doing it then 343 can start adding multipliers to the penalty. Your Welcome!

So they are not solving the problem, just putting it somewhere else.

^Yep, hit em in the wallet, or if they really are habitual -Yoink- just delete all their unlocks and make them start over.
I have Never quit a game. NEVER. Including when I Have dropped to 1v4 (more than once). Been banned once for server disconnect. I am not happy being punished when I actually uphold my end of the deal fully and it’s 343 that have the issues, but still end up banning me. Would be even worse if I also had req taken away.

I’ve advocated this ever since Xbox Live came out. If you quit or team betray excessively you should be matched with people that do the same. 1st offense you get 2 weeks of this . 2nd offense a month. 3rd offense a permaban of that said games matchmaking.

I got booted from a few games since the update, most recently a warzone match a couple hours ago. Know what it shows? DNF. Neither you nor 343 can tell if I quit or got kicked, but it counts towards a ban anyway. When you start getting banned for disconnects you will change your tune. it seems to me that the ban just counts total cumulative DNF’s, with no reset or consideration for games completed. EVERYONE will eventually get a ban due to servers.
If half your team quits and it ends up being 4 on 2 you should not get banned for quitting at that point. Bad enough my CSR takes a hit because of the loss that wasn’t even my fault.
