There was nothing wrong with these being power ups. Why change it? Realism??? Why add realism into the game?
I guess I’ve gotten used to them, I mostly like it. I hate how slow overshields activates though, I never seem to be able to get it to work no matter how I time it or how I dodge. They always kill me at the exact second it should be activated.
I basically just grab it and use it immediately at this point because trying to use it as a combat boost is suicidal
Camo is fantastic however, and probably my favorite item in the game, even more than power weapons and other equipment. I always prioritize camo
Because this is not those Halo games. You have the Master Chief Collection if you want it like that.
Probably could set them like that in Forge as well.
They changed the mechanics to fit with the equipment aspect of the game. I quite like the changes tbh - it means running blindly for the power up can be punished more easily with the extra second or so to activate. Also, means I can save it for objectives, and harvest it from the corpse of red team
