The drop in system sounds intriguing, but I don’t want to start matchmaking and get put in a game that’s halfway over, winning or losing. Make it so only people on your friends list can join a game in progress.
or have an option to join an already started game, instead to leave one that you just started (if you need to leave soon)
Leave it in social and it doesn’t matter how it works.
That wouldn’t solve this “problem”.

I see a lot of problems from a the friends only option.
Hopefully, some lists will allow for the drop-in feature and others will not. Gears of War has a nice division of ranked and quickmatch playlists, the former setting up a new game every time with the latter just dropping you into the first available match. I think it works out pretty well.

I have never played any games with – join mid game option
So I dont understand how it works - but I only plays with full partys off my friends so I’m not sure if it would even effect me-
