Is it still a power weapon?
Lock on is a little slow.
After lock on it requires too much staring to stay locked.
Tracking strength and or projectile speed too low.
You can dodge the mini rockets easily and or by accident.
A “tracking” only weapon should be able to hit people not paying attention to you.
No rapid or alt fire mode.
Hydra is good as it is.
343 actually looked at their design feedback from Halo 5 and made a decent choice.
So what if they’re staring right at me? Does the tracking just shut off instantly?
the 4 shot kill on the lock-on is a bit much imo, but other than that it’s not too bad. I’m biased of course.
its a great weapon, it doesn’t need anything done to it besides putting it on more maps, and making it more available in btb since its one of the more reliable anti vehicle weapons and anyone that uses vehicles is a terrible person
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Hydra was nerfed from H5 due to the decrease in Spartan mobility in Infinite. To be fair though H5’s Hydra was OP, but fun as hell to use.
Im thinking it has been redesigned for anti vehicle.
It does a good job tracking there.
But to shoot a person its very easy to dodge.
And the lock on is too slow
