A sad day is about to occur, a terrible day. Tommarow at some hour one of the best playlists in Halo 4’s history will be gone [for now]. For those who do not know what Heavies is let me give you a small history lesson.
1-Vehicles have always been a big part of Halo CE. Getting a Lan party together and having Tanks on Sidewinder, or Hogs blasting by on Blood Gulch was great.
2-Then Halo 2 comes and a few years down it’s life Bungie creates one of the best game modes ever “Gulch Wars” For those who remember the good ol’ days. You know Gulch Wars, Tanks, Gauss Hogs, Vehicles, Rockets. Was very popular and people tended to love it.
3-Then sometime around in Halo 3 Bungie added Heavies in Halo 3, again the people loved Heavies in Halo 3. Sandtrap heavies was the bomb.
4-Later on Reach comes out and as history would dictate. Bungie added Heavies in Halo Reach. Again with a huge popularity between folks.
5-343i changed this by making it 6v6. However the fact remains it was a good move and 6v6 ended up working fairly well. But what can we gain from this little history lesson
HEAVIES IS A GOOD, WELL LOVES, AND GREAT HALO GAME MODE.
I would say 343i should do one of two things. Either one I think would be good with most Halo fans.
A: Add Heavies as a permanent playlist with more modes and updates. Forge maps, CTF, Classic Heavies, So on. Keep it 6v6.
B: Add Heavies in Big Team Battle as they did with Halo 3/Reach. With a few versions (Infinity Heavies, Classic Heavies, CTF Heavies)
