Make Halo5 ranked playlist microphone mandatory

Make people start learning to actually communicate!

No, I’ll talk to my friends when I want to play with them, not a bunch of try hard wannabe mlg -Yoink- heads who will swear at my every move that I make that isn’t in accordance to their stupid strategies. Halo voice chat is cancer, and it takes away from the fun of the game. Besides, if it were mandatory I would just plug it in and leave it on the floor. It’s handy for breakout, but never ever anywhere else.

Also disable mute option and private chat.

Lmao. That’s pretty dramatic. wannabe mlg kids are typically in the global championship playlists. or mlg playlist. I don’t like going into ranked matches with lone wolf jerk offs who just run and gun and get killed.

At least this way I can give the person a heads up with knowledge that they will hear me.

Plus, there’s party chat for you and your friends. And unranked playlists for people like you. I assume ranked is the place where you go for winning.

And I also assume chat is optional. Sorry but if you dont want to talk and still play ranked thats their choice not yours to force onto someone.

Yes, because nobody plays Halo and behaves in any way but the way you just described.

Leave you mic out. We’re all better off for it.

Agreed, you should not force someone to talk to people they do not know, that can make lots of people feel uncomfortable. While I believe you guys have the greatest of intentions, It just would not work, that and think about it, not every player you run into will act nicely when playing.

Look, someone people may feel uncomfortable hearing people they do not know yelling at them because of a game. Sure you could the make new friends, but you cannot do that by forcing it on them, it is called PRIVACY. if someone has a kinect, there may be thing in the background, they don’t want others to hear, like younger siblings (I luckily do not have that problem) But some may.

Halo is a VIDEO GAME where you have FUN, some people may want to talk about their day with friends in a private chat or party chat, they do not have to be 100% focused try hards when playing a ranked match, it is a VIDEO GAME, not a sport.

Naah I like to talk to my friends only and omg people with kinects is literally the most annoying thing ever.

Competitive playlists should have game chat required, one reason I love CSGO is the teamwork and the strong community that comes out of game chat. Sure, you may find some jerks, but I feel it strengthens the community and leads to better gameplay. Players feel a lot more involved IMO.

My opinion is absolutely not. They should make the inevitable competition playlists or something similar to Reach’s arena playlist require mics plugged or kinect. Buy definitely not the standard ranked playlists, id rather not be forced to listen to stoners and people who say ‘wooooooooow’ every ten seconds.

What an awful idea, most people will probably use the Kinect and that will get super annoying super quick

No thanks. I like just chatting with my friends who are usually my teammates anyway.

These are seriously the arguments against this?

“waaaah. I like talking to my fwends!”

“waaah! someone is yelling at me”

“waaaah! kinect!”

I get you guys like kicking back and playing for fun. But other people’s fun lies in the fiery pit of the Halo arena. Where you long for that 50.

That’s called ranked.

It just sucks to see how negligent the Halo community is to their teammates.

I hate people with microphones or kinects that talk about random stuff while playing a match. I have only seen people using the mic to cooperate once, the rest were either kids insulting, people who were listening to music(and not the music I like) and people who were talking to someone else outside of the game.

okay, i can readily say most people will use it appropriately. YOud get all types of mic users. Plus, They could easily implement a system so it reads your actual mic

sounds like a typical BTB experience
