Like I said YOU want to DICTATE players how to play. Don’t say its me. Im the one who said players should enjoy the game the way they want and then you start crying about mtx. Guess what: TOGGLE. ALL THE CONTENT FROM ORIGINAL GAMES FOR FREE NO SHOP. Apparently hard to understand for you.
Like you are even saying f2p model will be making less money and lower playerbase??
Keep repeating till you start believing is your life motto I guess.
What do you want? Like free battle passes with emotes or something on Halo CE? Come on man.
Are you also mad that games like CoD actually became relevant again after f2p warzone. Is that making you mad? LMAO
You are literally dictating to everyone who likes the new content, or even simply disagrees with your position, that their opinions on Free to Play and monetization don’t matter because it won’t affect how you play the game.
All I’ve said is that its a lot more nuanced than a binary toggle, as most people against paid cosmetics don’t necessarily fall under the demographic your claiming they do. While many like the new cosmetics, the majority of players do not agree with monetizing the games, and a toggle is not a magic solution for that.
Only one person is dictating how others should play, and once again: its not who I see when I look in a mirror.
Yes, because spreading the already strained and downsized team across six titles, while also trying to spare the manpower to untangle the mess that is infinite, means no single title will get enough attention to handle a F2P space. All it will do, is amplify the same issues that caused MCC’s playerbase to tank in the first place, while adding new issues on top of the existing ones.
The MCC team has pulled of some amazing things, but they’re still only human and can only do so much.
I’m not gonna say more though, my point was made, and I’m sorry it upset you. Not gonna change my stance though, since I haven’t really heard a good counterpoint.
You should use a mirror more often I think.
With my vision, people HAVE OPTIONS. Your vision is again todays reality: IT DOES NOT WORK AND PEOPLE DONT HAVE OPTIONS.
You dont want to react anymore? Pretty strong point from someone who is winning an argument in their opinion HAHAHA.
I answered all the time with my arguments and I will continue to do so because your points are so easy to debunk plus reality is still on my side.
You are claiming things that are not true and apparently MCC is a masterpiece and Halo is in a great place the way it is now… according to you.
You have only confirmed my points were right but that’s hard for you I think.
I did laugh while reading your comments, they were funny. Only thing I can give you.
I think too that they need to make the multiplayer free-to-play because it’s almost impossibile to find any decent BTB, especially Halo 2 Anniversary BTB.
H2A’s multiplayer is sadly underpopulated less because there’s not enough players, but rather because it has the unfortunate luck of sharing the same space as Halo 3, which is more of the experience people want (much like Halo Reach and Halo 4)
Tbh though, if any of the multiplayers would benefit from being made free to play, it’s probably H2A, Just so long as its the only one that is. That said, unless 343 addresses the lack of H2A focused updates (especially since its likely they could share assets between it and Halo 4), it would likely mean its population wouldn’t hold for very long.
Definitely. It takes forever to find matches in this game. Way I figure is that they should make players pay for Campaign, Firefight, and Spartan Ops, and make multiplayer (Matchmaking, Custom Games, and Forge) free to play.
I think making MCC free to play would provide a population increase as Halo is dying. It would definitely help a lot. A lot of people were burned on the original MCC release and likely never came back but may if it was free to play.
I could be convinced otherwise given a stellar execution, but Halo does currently not lend itself to the free to play model. The sole reason Infinite was made into a FTP “managed service” was for money reasons. Through in-game purchases the model promises a steady cashline for years to come (supposedly) rather than just one upfront lumpsum when people just buy your completed product. $60 might seem like a lot but it’s really not compared to what they can extract from you over a few years what with all the season passes, and store items etc. TBH I would have paid $150 for a complete Infinite experience rather than whatever it is that we did receive. Now… Master Chief Collection. The one bright and shining piece of evidence to the contrary that 343i is not a complete and total failure, and in fact may be worthy of holding the mantle of Halo. It’s by far not only the best work they’ve put out - and indeed they’ve gone so much beyond faithfully restoring the old games in a modern and accessible format (the amount of NEW content they’ve added is incredible!) - but it’s probably also currently the best deal in gaming period. My point is the game is doing fine and the model works. 343i can afford to leave MCC alone, keep the traditional $60 model, provide an absolutely perfect product that generates hype for Halo and brings new people in - and then make all their real money off the current game (Infinite, priorly H5).
