Make halo 4s ai Smart not cheap

In reach I feel that the ai on the higher difficultys dont actually get smarter they just get more powerful, I find this inconstant and cheap when the ai can snipe you with a full auto weapon.

Also anyone else annoyed how the elites in reach sidestep every 2 seconds?

Yeah, also they seem to have eyes in the back of there head when you sneak up to try and assassinate them.

What I believe the AI need to be able to do is:
. Work with other teamates (players and AI) to flank and maneuver around enemies.
. Shoot accurately.
. Drive all vehicles in game properly (no suicide runs, no crashing into objects for no reason, avoiding danger where possible).
. Use the enviroment to there advantage (using cover effectively, finding and using weapons/vehicles).
. Be realistically aware (only react to believeable senses).
. Assist there teammates (players and AI).
. No team killing (Make AI capable of avoiding friendly fire when possible)

The Elites in Reach are so unmemorable and forgettable. All they did was jump all around the place and kick you in your visor. Not to mention how ridiculously tall they were. I know they’re supposed to be tall, but Reach got really carried away with that.

Please 343I make friendly AI smarter and stronger!!

Just curious, is Xbox 360 capable of pulling that off? I heard 360 already reached limit.

Well, that’s because you were a Spartan III and they’re not as tall as Spartan IIs like the Master Chief. Then again when you see the Arbiter next to the Chief in Halo 3 he was pretty dang tall anyways.

But I agree that the AI in Reach was the worst by far. ODSTs falling to their death not able to use the Jetpack. Kat’s driving… shudder. I’ve seen Marines blow themselves up by shooting a rocket into the wall point blank for who knows why. Then when you want the guy with the rocket to get into the passenger seat he grabs the gun instead. You make him get out and then Kat jumps into the driver seat and drives away… aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggg! STUPID STUPID STUPID AI!

And the Elites do have ESP. You can be on the opposite side of the Level with a Sniper rifle AND Invisibility activated and they will still dodge your sniper reticle while facing away from you. Cheaters.

Harder difficulty’s shouldn’t see the enemy with more health or shields but instead they are smarter and work more efficiently with each other. Keep damage and all that the same but make them use cover, team fire at you, use grenades when you stay in cover to long, counteract your weapons, etc. Same goes for allies. That’s what I would like to see.

i completely agree with you.in fact important topics like this should be the main focus on these forums not sprint or AAs.
i hate how in all halo campaigns the Elites arent even remotely like they are in multiplayer. for what ever enemy is in halo 4 they need it to be consitant with multiplayer especially if they are involved in multiplayer. also yeah they should get smarter and use more strategy in legendary games versus easy games instead of just being able to magically do more damage or take more damage.

I agree IM LOOKING AT YOU SKRIMISHER WITH A NEEDLER RIFLE the difficulty in reach just makes them super strong not smart. ps the thing that gets me mad the most is when an elite melees in your direction and your practically behind him and it still connects and destroys you -_-

The proof is that the designers of CEA had to modify the Reach Elite model to scrunch it down to fit it into the shape of CE’s original model. So it’s not that they’re just hunched over.

A SPARTAN-III is hardly any smaller than Master Chief, so the size of the Elites in Reach is damn absurd.

I absolutely agree. As for sniping, part of it is due to the projectile speed increase. It’s a very bad change imo because there’s no chance of actually evading the shots like on Heroic. You have to take cover or play it safe from long range and that kills most playing styles. And the fun. I liked CE Legendary since cqc was still feasible and I could flank the enemy. Now I can’t do anything but fire plasma pistol bolts and spam frag grenades (not really. It’s just not worth trying anything special or improvised).

Actually, I found that they stood in place and took shots (like the damage sponges they are) more. Were you using a plasma weapon or bullets? If you were using bullets, that may be why.
